Will a 2002-2006 VFR800 center stand fit my 2000 VFR800?

Hi all,
I'm a newbie on this forum and a new owner of a 2000 VFR800. The previous owner removed the center stand so I want to buy one and I couldn't find one on ebay which had all of the components I needed (spring, bolts, nuts, etc) but I saw an '02-06 part which did, and the price was right. If I buy that 02-06 center stand, will it fit my 2000 VFR800?

Do you know the dimensions on your bike? I could take measurements on mine and give you a better idea because I don't know the answer.

 

You can check the parts fiche online at Parzilla.com or Ronayers.com and see if the parts are the same, chances are no, but good places to check anyway. I have an '01 and an '09 and can probably get some quick measurements for you but maybe not until either Friday or Saturday. Not sure how long the auction will last but if that time frame works for you, let me know and I'll break out the tape measure.

I've got an extra 5G cstand, not much need for it with only one bike. If that 6G doesn't work out shoot me a PM and we can work out shipping costs, no charge on the stand.

 

Pretty sure they are different stands. The stops are in different locations.
