it's been a while since I have visited you nuts here at vfrworld. saying that, I really miss my 85 vf700f and found this on CL last night. I've never heard of it and just want to make sure it is a real thing and not just some craiglist b.s. and it's a normal vfr750.

I certainly don't know everything about Honda racebikes. That being said HRC had a full line of raceparts that if you had the proper credentials & a deep walet. You could outfit your bike for superbike racing. Or other types of sanctioned racing. I don't recall a specfic TT Production bike. Someone should chime in here soon that knows. Personally I'd want some real proof.

I'm pretty confident that what we are looking at is simply a piece of hammered dog shit!

It is true that HRC built bikes did compete but this ain't one.

That is a bone stock bike. Rode very hard and put away soaking wet as well.

CL is the catch all, the good, the bad and the ugly. This one captures two on that list, the bad and the very ugly! Run don't walk the other way...

I think it's great that some dudes can look a pic on a screen and tell somebody else all aboot a bike. Man, I sure wish I could do that.

Not being gifted in that way, I am not embarrassed to do something like ask the seller for the VIN and then get online and talk to one of those dudes on that island who talk really funny if they know aboot the bikes being Hondadudes and all.

I looked at the picture before I read the description and I said to myself "theft recovery" and I was right! I must have the gift for looking at the picture of a bike on a screen and immediately recognize it as a pile of poop. All kidding aside, the reality here is not whether it was a TT production bike but that in its current condition is has, no title, bald tires, no fairing, no body work, crushed gas tank, with a screwdriver for a key and that's just the things the owner listed. By the way, he never claimed it was a production bike, just they these were raced as production bikes. This example looks like it has been screwed over by everyone that threw a leg over it.

My question since you have the gift is whether the screwdriver is a Phillips or a slot head? Great call on that tank too.

Elementary my dear Watson. That would be a single slotted blade of the common hardware store variety.

thanks guys, as much as I want another vf/vfr in my life I guess I will let this one slide (although it would be a good street fighter candidate!). when I read the add it sounded like the bike had some HRC mods on it which is what got me all exited.

I have purchased worse examples and made some pretty good bikes out of them. That said I spent way to much on them but had a pretty good bikes for my effort.

    Before: In a box

    After: A fun ride

I used the proceeded from the Bandit sale to buy my Y2K Viffer.
