   Here's the link I was thinking of, regarding truing up a warped rotor. A lot more scientific than whacking a rotor, there's graphs and everything!

   I see the original was fixed by replacement. However:
   
   It's usually glazing on the pads and disks. Take medium emery cloth and sand everything.
   
   Then re bed the brakes properly this time.
