Hey all. I don't want to beat a dead horse but I have a 1985 VF750F and I am having a hell of a time finding information and even parts for her. I tried doing a VIN search, the prefix is RC15... right; R-->Engine size 650cc to 899cc; C--> Street motorcycle; 15--> 1983-1984... ??? Like I said, I have a 1985 VF750F. Just wondering if someone can give a "non-cryptic" explanation of how the VIN breaks down.

    Here's the VIN plate.

    Thanks

Perfect... That's exactly what I was looking for. Now, the engine is stamped 96 at the end instead of 59. RC15E-2200096, does this mean the engine has been replaced? I can't imagine with such a small number difference, this would be the case but nice to know.
