Just blew this fuse the other day after starting it at work. I checked the fuse and it had a 20 amp in there from previous owner. So I put a new 10 amp in and it popped as soon as I turned the key on. I took the fairings off and inspected the wiring. Nothing really looked out of place or shorted out. Any suggestions?

check the wiring from your ignition?

check the tail lights if you get it started again. I've had the ignition switch wiring go bad.

Do your turn signals still work after the fuse is blown? If so either the horn wiring or the 2 clutch switch wires.

Had my tag light wire short. Worth a check. Been so long can't remember which lights it affected. Was a 10 amp fuse.

Sorry for the wait but I checked all wiring on the bike. Nothing looked or felt out of the ordinary. So here's what I did. Figured out my clutch wires were backwards at the handle bar. Now bike will start in gear with clutch in. Yeah I know that should of been done a long time ago. Put a new license plate light on and wired in. The other one was burnt out. It was a aftermarket led. So far I haven't burnt up any fuses. Thanks everyone for the suggestions. You guys are great.
