Well, guess I'll reply first. A few things I see that seem to ring true...
The tires seem to match the mileage, they are in like new shape.
The bike looks unmolested, nice and stock for the choice of your upgrades.

    Things I wonder about...
Seller only has a feedback rating of 4, and those 4 are all as a buyer (this is the first thing they've ever tried to sell - and it didn't sell).

    Other things found:
    Same bike for sale here:

It all seems to check out, but I'd wanna do a "hand-to-hand" exchange and I don't think you will get it for $5000. That's the amount the auction is started at, but it didn't meet reserve. Maybe the seller will come down since it didn't sell. The seller is asking $5900 on the other ad above. Here in Kansas those bikes (mileage and year) are going for around $6000+ and there not very plentiful. Friend bought a pristine 07 RWB with 75k on the odometer for $6000 about a month ago. If this exact bike was for sale in my city, I'd consider buying it at $5000 just to resell it this next spring and make a few hundred.

    Nice bike though, good luck!
I don't think you could get it for

I live a few hours away. I would pick it up personally and take it home on a u-haul motorcycle trailer ($15 a day in case you don't know), as I have done with a few bikes recently. Winter is coming. Cold weather is setting in. Prices have to soften with that. Thanks for your response.

Something isn't right with the upper fairing. Look at the red stripe by the left front directional, its missing the white stripe above it. Compared to the right side the white stripe that borders the blue extends to the directional. On those bikes the area right behind the directional is one tri-color decal placed on the blue upper fairing. See if the seller will elaborate.

Red wire by the left side pass peg bracket?

It appears that the front fairing has been replaced or painted as that white line should carry on right to the front as seen here.

That said, it does appear to be a good deal on the surface even if you paid upwards of $5600.

    Good catch. Thank you.

Followup. He is telling me it got scratched there so he removed it. Is this a tape stripe that is easily replaced?

Not a tape stripe, but could be replaced with some tape. That whole area is 1 decal or tape graphic, see pic.

I recently had a tip over & have been looking for that graphic. I've yet to find it with e-tailers that sell OEM parts. Other decals are listed but none of the stripe graphics are. Have yet to try local dealer. :(

I'm calling bull crap on that. That answer just dosnt sound true. The ad says small scratches. So for one scratch he did this. Doubt it. I see red flags over that. Be careful.

Sounds like he got scared of it, or it was too heavy and he dropped it. Sounds about like my RWB purchase. 1900 miles, real low price. Said no drops, but I saw scratches and holes on the stickers, bent back levers, and scratches on pegs. Finally he admits he dropped it in the garage and hit vtec once and got scared. Just check how bad its marred and haggle accordingly. I got mine for $4.5k

Zoom into the large full res. Clearly it's an uneven cut through the red. And there's a bit of rub-through on the red about 1-2" on the next fairing. Doesn't seem *that* nefarious.

Found another in Virginia. Less than 5000 miles. Going to see it on Friday.
