So I will probably never do this to my beautiful bike but.......

Has anyone ever done this? I think it would be BADASS to have a turbo version of our bike. I wonder how awesome a V4 would sound with a turbo lol. The torque of a V4 and the top end with a turbo!

I wish the company that does the supercharger for the 5th and 6th gens would do the other versions as well.

However, I was going to post about how to hot rod a VFR 2nd gen. I have 750 engine I'm rebuilding, and figured I'd squeeze some more ponies out of it if I could. I'm half way through a port and polish on the heads, and I'm looking at getting some custom high compression pistons made, they are not overly expensive about $120.00 apiece. The company gives a discount on numbers produced the more the cheaper per unit. I also was thinking about bumping the displacement to around 823CC, or about 3 mm over bore.

While porting found out that the intake's are 3mm smaller than the carbs, and the runners are rougher than a cob. Lots of strange casting seams and protrusions.

I think A&A or whatever that company is no longer makes them :(

It was A&A performance that made them. I have seen one in the wild. Awesome sleeper. Only a handful of those ever sold. Turbo is harder because mounting an intercooler would be troublesome. No intercooler needed for a supercharged application.

I think a turbo might ruin the sweet raspy V8 sound of the 180* V4's. I'd be inclined to do a supercharger. Then keep plenty of spare clutch discs handy. :)

VFRs tend to run hot in stock form, so how you gonna get rid of the extra heat that more power causes ?

Yeah, a turbo would be a horrible idea for a 2nd gen like squirrel said.
Supercharger would be a better way if it is possible- space limitations would mean a lot of modded stuff.
