Another championship in the books, the first test after the Valencia round is now what's left for MotoGP in 2014.

Actually 2nd place will be the best racing of the season, JL, Rossi and Pedro all could take it. Rossi and Pedro are tied.

I was thinking the same thing, championship may be over but the racing isn't. JL made a quick comeback and is now on the heels of Rossi and Dani, so it should be a very interesting few races. I wonder how MM is going to play it? Think he'll go for the win just because he can or will he try and help Dani lock in second? Rossi is his idol, well at least according to the commentary on MotoGP broadcast, they say MM still has Rossi posters on his walls. So is it help your team mate or help your idol? All I know is I'd rather see Rossi or Dani in second rather than JL!

JL is really in the zone now. He is going to catch and be in the mix for sure. Rossi is racing very good and Dani ...... well if he gets away at the front he has a chance. Start dicing it up with the other 2 and he will come in 4th.

I saw that, crazy he can take the bike around the track at incredible speeds but falls down in the paddock.

Phillip island tomorrow. Should be some very good racing. I know the 3 will be dicing it up but I wonder if Marquez is going to race for 1st. My bet he wins.

I can still hear the bikes coming back from the Island now , that will go on for hours tonight, no idea how many thousands of bikes down there, we went to the BSA breakfast they have each year on the way to the Island so we could watch the procession of bikes go past, hard to guess but probably somewhere between 5/7000 go past in half an hour. The whole day yesterday, thousands of bikes on the road going in all directions anywhere you went

Crashes fer sure...was really excited for Cruchlow
(spell right)...loved when he passed JL.....bizzar how MM and a few others just lost it braking..where the using soft fronts...? I'll watch again today with no drugs this time. Glad and hope at least Rossi get second in points. Parobot's out....kind of sad...always second fiddle. At least Hayden got a 10th.
Heard Collins will race at the Americas...last hurrah

Agree some of the crashes of seemed a bit odd, the local TV commentator remarked the ones that crashed were on harder compounds than the 2 Yamahas up front but I'm not sure....The day was cold and Phillip Island and turn 3 can have high winds and turn 4 they have to brake hard and the track is known to have a grip problem there so it may have been a combination of things ?

From what I heard from the MotoGP commentators, the ones that crashed (from the front tire washout) were running the asymmetrical front tire, which has the harder compound on one side of it. As the temps started to get colder the tires started to have less grip. It was said that these tires needed to be warmer and took more to get them to temp. As much as I wanted MM to put another notch in his belt and in the record books, so glad about the outcome!

Again, poor Pedro, just never seems to have the luck that gets him ahead of the others. A couple of penalty points were given out too. Bradl and Smith were each given a penalty point, Bradl for the collision and Smith for passing during a yellow flag. The Ionne incident this still under investigation as Ionne was still being treated for his injuries.

This was another race this season where having so many riders DNF, that the remaining riders all scored points.

It was definitely a case of the asymmetrical front and the rapid drop in temperature that spelled disaster for those who chose the new front tire.

I feel bad for Cal and Pol, both were racing clean races with good results and just lost the fronts at the end. Horrible luck for Pedrobot and Aleix, the post-race interviews were pretty scathing, and I can understand their frustration, but in the end it's racing. Feel bad for Bradl, you can tell he didn't mean for that contact, just outbraked himself into the turn, and you can tell he genuinely feels bad for Aleix.

MM didn't need the win, so I'm sure he's not too heartbroken :p Rossi deserved the win, coming up from 8th to take 2nd before MM crashed out, it would have been interesting to see who would have won if MM had made the finish though.

I may be a new Honda rider, but I bleed Yamaha blue, so I'm ecstatic with the podium results :)

Very exciting race. I think this was the first time everyone that finished were in the points. Rossi was brilliant, better lines than JL but he would never have caught the kid. The last 2 races for second are going to be great between Rossi and JL, and for the manufactures title too.

Actually everyone finished in the points in Indy as well, 15 finishers.
