Figured I'd post this scan. I did this before I applied them to my VFR.

P/N is 64220-MCW-D80ZB - for "Black" Models. I ordered a set for my '07 US Candy Red from a UK Dealership - David Silver Spares Honda. I think the darker "Black VFR" Emblems look much better then the "Lighter VFR Emblems" designated for our corresponding color codes in the UK. They almost appear too bright.

With this scan, it gives you guys that don't want to pay the $90 or so it cost me to get ahold of the 3D ones, the opportunity to make a flat decal set - which isn't hard to do.

Are these decals flat or do they actually have an embossment to them and thicker than a regular decal? They look like an emblem and thick? I think they are trick and def. will be looking for some! nice find!

These European VFR Decals are 3D - raised, not flat. Honestly they are worth the expense. A regular decal is flat and like a sticker - these are a flexible plastic that have a 3D visual perception because they peak in the middle and slope to the edges by about 1/8". And the finish is a glossed silver-metallic - the cool thing about these are, the paint has this reflective property to it. And depending on where the lighting is, the light reflects back brighter on one slope, versus the other - giving it has a 3-dimensional shadowing appearance! And it looks so cool. I really like the European OEM Decals personally!!

Update on the UK VFR Decals

    European VFR Emblem/Decal Info

The emblem to the Left is the darker VFR “Mark 2” Honda OEM Emblem. It is used in Europe on their Black VFR’s. The emblem on the Right is the lighter one, used on everything but the black colored VFR’s. I have not researched the part number because it is too bright for my application. But you may call/email any of the European Dealerships and request the part number.

These Decals have a 3D Relief. They come to a peak in the middle. And the peak is approximately 1/8" in thickness. Their finish is a silver-metallic paint that reflects light. This reflection, in conjunction with the different angles of the emblem's relief, creates a 3-dimensional appearance when light is applied to it in any direction. This casts a shadow on the backside halves of the letters. You can see this in a demonstration video in the below link. Watch the video and you will see how the reflection off the emblem changes as the camera moves across it.

Each Emblem is mounted on a white template (like a typical sticker/emblem/decal backing). These templates have notches that indicate the position of the emblem to the fairing. And these notches line up to the edges of the fairing. It becomes easier to understand where they go after you place them against the fairing and line up the notches. Use the pictures above to give yourself a general idea of the placement of the decal, and then it will become apparent how the notches line up. Note: be careful when applying these emblems. They like to twist and move around easily as you peel the backing off. Stay out of direct sunlight, as the hotter they are, the easier it is for them to bend and become applied incorrectly. I would place the emblems in the refrigerator and keep the fairing cool to ensure the emblem stays relatively stiff. They also like to also tear at the joints of the letters – mores-o if you have to peel them back off and reapply them again. So try to get it right the first time. But it's not that difficult to apply them.

I ordered them through the following dealership in the UK during the Summer of 2008. The Dealership Information is as follows:

    David Silver Spares Ltd
    PH: +44(0)1728 833020

And here’s the link for the Emblem
David Silver Spares - Search By Part Number

This Emblem is for a 2005 UK (European) Honda VFR in Black
    - The Black Colored Bike's Emblem/Decal is a bit darker and matches the silver on the frame and metal painted parts so much better then the Candy Red Decal IMO.
    - The Honda Part Number for Emblem is 64220-MCW-D80ZB - must be ordered for a quantity of 2 - they come individually by the part number.

These are currently £29.29 (2009-May-04) and cost $39.16 in US Dollars. That’s $78.62 for 2 Decals less shipping, the accessed VAT, and a $5.00 admin fee from David Silver Spares. I believe the VAT is an export tax for European Countries, and depends on weight and what country it is going too. It may have run me around $10 as I can’t remember exactly - I don’t have the receipt on-hand to find out what it ran me.

1 Dollar US is $0.75 in Europe, as Euro
1 Dollar US is also $1.35 in Australia as Australian Dollars

US Currency Converter - XE - Universal Currency Converter

Our US Dollars has more buying power though in Australia. I quoted a dealership down there called Red Wing Honda for an HRC Tank Protector. There email address is info@redwinghonda.com.au You may want to give them a try. They are also an eBay as Seller ID: REDWING HONDA. And there is yet another Honda Dealership out of the Netherlands called CMS that you may want to give a try CMSNL Dealership in the Netherlands

    Hi there

They are very expensive at this site. This was their reply when I asked what is the shipping to Canada:

For 1 x off each item, the 2 x parts will be £50.10gbp to Canada. If there is 2 x off each part required the postage cost will increase £19.52 making a total at £119.66.

    Regards,
    Nik.

    This is 140 Euros.

Here, this site has better prices and reviews: https://www.cmsnl.com/. same order is 92 Euros, almost 50 Euros cheaper. I just ordered.

    Cheers
