    my 84 1000 has 2 kinds of ignition wires on it.looks like car wires.also has different end caps too.what is the standard ngk plug no.?just bought 4 new ngk end caps that have the 5k resistors built in so should i get solid core wire and non resistor plugs?how about the ngk iridium plugs?are they worth the money...thanx

    Anything else is just wasting money . . .

    Yes, you want solid core wires. Usually cheapest if you buy by-the-foot.

    IIRC, the new caps require the screw-on nub to remain on the spark plug.
