    Hello

So I just bought a 1995 VFR750 today and I love it. It's proper tatty but I got it for a good price and it rubs really well. There's a few odd bits about it but one thing that I found when I got it home was the crash protector only fitted to one side.

So to even it up I removed it and found out that the thread looks like it's stripped - its integral to the rear left hand cylinder head.

Has this happened to anyone else? Can it be helicoiled? What size bolt/threads are the engine bolts?

Thanks in advance for any help. I'll get some picks up tomorrow.

    Regards

    Stuart

Stainless Nutcert. I wouldn't hook any crash protection to engine cases. The material is too soft and busting up engine cases isn't worth it. They are there to protect the frame, but destroying engine cases in the process is counter productive.

Thanks NB. I've removed the crash protection now (it was only on one side anyway!).

Can anyone confirm that the thread for the 4 engine mount bolts are M10x1.25mm?

    Regards
