Trade a 96 Suzuki Bandit for 94 VRF both clean, my bandit has 14,000 the vrf 28,000?

Its my first year on bikes, I drive two Hondas vehicles and I let myself down getting a Suzuki, got a guy interested in trading me today for my Suzuki. Which only has 14,500 miles while the VRF has 28,000 miles. He values the VRF at 2300$ roughly what I got in the bandit.

Even though the vfr has more miles than your current bike, there is no need for concern. Well cared for vfr's will run for well in excess of 100,000 miles. (And for that matter, even with little care they will easily go 75,000 miles.) The Bandit is a fairly solid bike, but the vfr is just sooooo much better.

 

On paper it is a no brainer. However, I would not approach it with that attitude. Ask the right questions regarding the bike's maintenance and history. Look it over and determine what kind of shape it is in and how well it has been cared for. You know how you took care of your Bandit and I assume you expect the VFR to be equivalent. If all checks pass your inspection, then you are making out real well. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

 

Thanks for all the advice! If this trade doesn't pan out id like to sell my bandit and my 1990 Honda NS 50 F. Its a rare small 2 stroke manual 50 cc apparently there sought after already had a few offers. And get in a VRF 94-02

Too bad your Bandit wasn't a 1200...I never cared much for the 600 bikes, anyway, if you can do that trade you would be getting a better bike in the end. Remember this, condition, condition, condition, did I mention condition?
