Fill while sitting. Easy enough. Just need to pay attention. I like it full to the top for no particular reason.

I'm a kick stand dismount filler.

Here in Texas we had the boot thing but I've noticed they are gone now. What a PITA for bikes and older vehicles those were. I could barely get gas in my '91 4 Runner with those boot things. The end of the spout would just barely reach the opening and would only push the little door part way open. If I didn't fill it very slowly it would overflow and make a big mess. Plus I couldn't see it so wouldn't know I wasn't getting gas in the tank until it would run out and down the side of the car. Good riddance to those stupid things.

Hey Rob...do you have a thread about your new 2006 bike? Did you just get it or did I just not notice until now.

For me filling while sitting on the bike is more of a comfort thing, I've got bad knees and mounting/dismount hurts so I try to avoid it.

Sidestand. The fuel economy is so exceptional on the Gen 7 that I need not worry about getting her full!

I fuel it while still sitting on the seat, no stands.

with those vapor lock boots, you can grab a paper towel or two from the windshield wash thing and roll them up length wise. then jam the roll up in and around the boot. will lock it up to dispense gas and you don't have to mess with it while filling.

I just pull the boot back with two fingers, no problem.

I used to fill while sitting on the bike but now I get asked to get off the bike by the attendant. They usually do it through the speakers. I ignored them once and they cut the fuel to the pump. :grey:

    Centrestand it is now.
