Being in the open class, does that get you any concessions like Ducati gets in MotoGP  Congratulations on your win! Too bad you couldn't share your winning entry with the rest of here!

    Cheers!

PMing you my address. You can send it via Fed Ex, please and thank you.

Every year our fearless leader Reg71 host an event called Reggie's Roadhouse Round Up (R3) for short. And every year we get members wanting it to be held closer to them. Well, maybe you can create a mid-West Round Up, the BM5. Bernie Mountain's Magic Meat Massage Meet Up! Although dropping the B for just M5 might make it more enticing!

Or there's the VFR BMR, Bernie Mountain's Magic Meat Massage Round Up!, I'll let figure out the name, I'd be up for attending!

I have no intention on trying to detract from the R3, it sounds like a great time and I'd like to attend some day. I'd never be opposed to hosting a pit-stop for people headed that way or coming back though!

You'd wouldn't be detracting, adding! R3 is Memorial Day weekend and your event would be in June, so it works out just fine! I'm only half joking though. It would be cool to have another VFR event somewhere in the mid-west where others can go to and not have to make the long trek to CA.

Very nice! Out of curiosity what is that hose connected to the brass fitting on the left side of your rig? Is it used to regulate the airflow to control the temp in your firebox?

Actually, that hose feeds the gas burners on the left side of the rig. It has a divider in the center so I can smoke all day in one side, and I can do some quicker cooking on the other. That way I can sell ribeye sandwiches or burgers and dogs and not have to worry about lifting the lid on the smoke side.

I should actually clarify that this isn't MY rig, it's the rig I compete with but it's owned by a friend of mine as one of his many entrepreneurial ventures.

You could sell your bike and buy one for yourself if you wanted to...:)

Those gotta be rib eyes on the rig.. We do a "holliday" dinner for my MC club every year. Six rib eyes and 25 or so chickens that taste like chicken. The rig we get from a member who built it for Boeing's riders club.

For small smoking projects, line a cast iron frying pan with foil. Get it real hot. drop in some wet chips that are used for smoking or some of the pellets. As soon as the smoke is apparent, lay in another piece of foil with whatever is to be smoked on it, cover the pan and take it off the heat.

Best done outside on an outdoor grille or a hot plate. Meat is great and so are veggies and peppers and probably those damn bugs the dudes from OZ keep crowing aboot..

Maybe SOW has a recipe for "Hello Kitty/ Goodbye Kitty!

Funny you should mention it, When I finally decided I was going to buy a bike, and selling the idea to my wife, she said: 'Wouldn't you rather buy a nice new smoker?' I have a feeling that any hobby I had would have been more appealing to her than seeing me on a motorcycle. I have a lot of friends with nice pull behind smokers and grills that I could borrow at any time. None of them have an Interceptor. On the other hand- if I borrowed a smoker and did some catering, I could pay off my Interceptor and buy something nice for my wife. Or another Interceptor.

Excuse me for a minute, I've got some calls to make...
