    Good morning riders,

I'm a new VFR owner. Month ago i got myself a 94 vfr750 and fell in love with it overnight. So much so that couple of weeks ago I put some money down on a 95 vfr as well. I plan on keeping one stock and turning the other one into something naked and fun.
All I've do e to the bike so far is Delkevic high pipe, k&n filter, Michelin Pilot Road 4 GT (these tires are awesome by the way) and some brighter headlights (H4 doesn't really fit into a h4 honda :( I now have great low beams but my high neams are signaling to the E.T.'s haha
As I start learning more about this great machine I will be asking questions and posting more pics. Thank you and Brrrrap safe.

Welcome to the site from a maritimer stuck in MB.

Unless you do a lot of heavy load riding, you probably don't need to go for the PR4 GT, regular PR4's would work just as well. My understanding is that the GT was made for the BIG sport tourers with 2-up, loaded side and rear bags. But it's not like they cost a whole lot more, so whichever floats your boat, I guess :)

I ordered a set of PR4's for my R1, should arrive this week.

Reason I went with GT is thinking they might last longer since i'm not that heavy :) great tires in rain. Your R1 will be happy :)

Nice to see someone else from Calgary. I need to bring my VF500 down to your shop and have the carbs synced but have a little more work to do before that.

    Hey Vee

Welcome to the WORLD. Of all the VFR's I have owned the 4th gen is still one of my favourites. Enjoy the bike, ride safe, and keep her shiny side up. Jeez, where were all these Viffer owners when I lived in Calgary. LOL. Truth be known I didn't discover the worlds greatest motorcycle until I had moved to BC and now I doubt I could ever own anything but a Viffer.

When you mention the H4 headlight thing it brings to mind a modification that I did to both my old 97 VFR and my wife's 96 VFR as well. The mod involves a bit of trimming using a dremmel tool and allows you to fit a standard H4 bulb (or the factory Honda bulb as well should you so choose) without having to bend or break off the tabs. Works like a charm and was very easy to do. If you're interested, have a look at the following link.

Mph, bring it by any time. We are booking a week out but I can always see what I can do for a fellow enthusiast :)

Zoomzoom, I heard about that mod and will be checking it out. Thank you. I'm doing a ride this weekend to Nelson, Okanagan and back around to Calgary. If you are anywhere on the way maybe a cup of coffee or something.

    Hey Vee

if you're in the neighbourhood, by all means I will be around. Since the wife and kids are visiting her parents on the island I have a few spare beds, should you need a place to crash for a night or so. LOL. Garage parking is also available. Just shoot me a PM and I can send you my address.

You may have a bit of an issue with a large forest fire near Nelson, so keep your eyes open for road closures. Maybe check the highways website to see if any warnings are posted. Here is one of the DriveBC websites showing some of the various highway cams in BC. One major issue we have been having lately is visibility due to the forest fires.

Have a look and ride safe.

You also mentioned the fact that you have 2 - 4th gens and had planned on turning one into naked style bike. In assistance of your quest here are a couple of examples of 4th gen Street Fighters that you might want to take a look at along the way. They are both members over on VFRD and have created some amazing works of art. My personal favourite is Apexandy's (bottom link), but both are fantastic.
