Had my shield up on a nice day and a bee hit me just above my glasses, then got between glasses and me, stung me twice on eyelid. Always carry Benadryl now!

Haven't been bit/stung. While I don't like bees, I hate spiders. I recall early on when I got my bike, go out for a ride. Put all the gear on. Driving down a 2 lane highway, about 50mph, and I see a spider on my faceshield. Go to brush it off, and the fucking thing is INSIDE my helmet on the shield. I pulled over and ripped my helmet off so quick, I think my ears were swolen. People were probably looking at me like I was crazy as I was swatting at everything from my face, head, helmet, etc.

    Damn I hate spiders.

I hear yo there P. My wife and daughter hate them too...... Seriously though, spiders eat mosquitoes I try leaving them alone. Two of my suits have the low racing style collars so more than not, my neck is exposed. So around with all the flies and bugs floating about in Cowshitsville, at freeway speeds or better, I have been known to stand up and take notice due to a bug in the Adam's apple. Man that hurts. Been hit by I suspect bees a couple times cause those really hurt. But can't say I have ever been stung. Only have been stung once in my lifetime and that was a bumble bee where they can push them goddam stingers in and out several times.

I had a bee find its way inside my helmet at about 50 mph once. Had a mini freak-out but thankfully it flew away without stinging me or causing me to get in an accident. I hate bees.

My thing with bees isn't to bad, yellow jackets, hornets and wasps are a oh shit, watch out. Honey bees and bumbles aren't too bad. It's just when they get in a pinch they'll get you, I've had one wedge in the visor when it was cracked open a bit, didn't know it was there until I took the helmet off, there it was wiggling around, thinking wow that was close, getting stung in the temple wouldn't be so good. yea talk about a wild dance of sorts that could have been. My cousin died due to toxic shock when he was stung more than a few times, so yea I watch out, but this was just to crazy, first on the golf coarse minding my own business, then this a week later Wt....haven't been stung in like a dozen years. At least it wasn't a deer. ;)

Ditto! Going across the dam at Lake Ray Roberts and wasp hit upper part of my jacket and got sucked up in my helmet and wedged in between my cheek and the cheek cushion. I could feel a leg or something on my face. I am on a dam so no room to pullover and stop. I kept riding and did not move my head nor any muscle in my face. As soon as I got across dam, pulled over, jumped off bike and flipped up front of helmet and started swatting and brushing off my face. Then, ripped off helmet while dancing around in the gravel like a madman. Luckily he was dead and must have fallen out when I pulled over. Did not get stung but sheer terror trying to make it across dam.

I had one fly up my sleeve once. I'm not sure if it was a bee or hornet but damn it hurt and then after some crazy flailing about, the pieces of it fell out of my sleeve as I continued on down the road practicing my four letter words. I'm sure the folks in the cage behind me wondered what was up.

Got hit in the neck at high speed by something big. Left a big red welt. Got home and found a dead bumble bee in my shirt! Another time, was cruising along when I see a bee crawling along the inside of my helmet. Managed to get stopped and get it off before he found my face.

Never been stung or bitten but drove through a bunch of Butterflies and had one stuck on my visor that was still alive and I couldn't see a damn thing. Was also hit by a dragonfly in the chest and damn thing left a welt the size of a CD. Friend was out with us one day and next thing we know he's in the ditch, he was hit by a Crow and it's beak went through his lower leg. The damn thing was still alive, good thing one of our friend is a EMS and was able to get the crow out of his leg and look after him until the ambulance showed up.

Ever notice that whenever you get your visor all nice and clean the first thing that happens is you get a big mutha right at eye level. Tabernak! That crow episode is plain morbid.

Here in Floriduh, we have LoveBugs and in season there are thousands floating around. They smash all over your helmet/ face shield, and all exposed parts. While they dont sting, I have had a pair sucked into my helmet and crawl around on my face until I could stop... And they smell terrible too. One group ride, we were all covered in their guts and if you don't clean them off, they will damage your paint

I did a 500km ride on a norther ontario highway a few years back. When i stopped for gas half way my jacket and lap were covered in flying insects. Must have been at least 20 or 30 bee's that I'd taken out. I was using the squeegie on my rain gloves to wipe all the bug guts from my visor ever few minutes. a few of them made it insude my jacket, but no bee's thankfully!

I had a bee fly down my shirt last year. Got stung twice before I could pull over and get it out.

On a different trip that same year I had a wasp fly into my modular helmet as I left a hotel. Opened the helmet, thought it flew away so I closed it back up. It hadn't left. Felt it crawling on my face. This was all while driving to the highway. I ended up pulling over and getting ride of it without getting stung. Got lucky on that one.

The stories some of you provide of doing the roadside cha cha remind me of the bee scene in Tommy Boy. Except your situation was real.

I was driving along one evening about 9 p.m. at about 60 miles an hour and a BAT hit the left side of my upper chest. I was wearing a leather jacket but it still stung and left a welt. Let me just say that bats are exceptionally difficult to dodge~
