Whats with the World Cat link Billy? I should never click on there site. I have had a cat hull power boat for 10 years and love it but when I see some of their boats........ The temptation is great.

No HD stuff on there either. Thankee Jesus...

Whoops.. Try www.worldcat.org. A small wager sez you guys figured that oot already..

Lived around salt water all my life. Worked on boats a bunch. Never owned one.. A vicarious version of the best two days of a boat owners life.. Almost bought one once. After two weeks of steam cleaning a surimi processer and recoating everything with aboot 35 gallons of epoxy, I changed me mind..

Best damned boats in the world are owned by others.. That's my story..

OML what a thread, It's still going strong I see. Crazy huh.. Yea HD riders are a whole other mind set for sure, some are wanta bees, and some all though getting up there the real deal. Now those guys ( few and far between) are fun to chat with, but this newer generation it's all about looking tuff. Meh!! The bikes now as odd as they are, can't knock HD doing what they do market wise, just to bad the customers/owners can't get outa their own way. All though HD make for a great starter bike for beginners.

Decked on sportfishing boats off the SoCal Coast. We ate the leftover bait. Anchovies and squid.. This before squid became calamari and the price quadrupled..

My dad used to net flying fish off Catalina and rig them for Marlin.

I have a Few dozen flying fish in my freezer. Left overs from trolling last Sunday. I thought fishing was going to be good. Out going tide changing right at sunrise, choppy water, low boat traffic. And there was bait everywhere especially flying fish, big ones and little ones all over where we were trolling. Not 1 Fing bite. Stopped and drift fished for a couple of hours and only caught no edible fish. Murphy's law was at play I think. I'm sure the next day, Monday, the game fish caught up to the bait pods and fishing was off the hook. No pun intended.

My dad didn't fish for marlin.. that was for the rich guys. I have old pix of him and his buddies with strings of Bluefin tuna and albacore caught off the piers on Catalina. Now at least in Oregon waters about 40 miles out is the norm for fish..

Catching a tuna off a pier! That would be some hell of a fight, they are brutes with unbelievable energy. We don't get the big guys down here, mostly the little black fin tuna and if your lucky a 50lb yellow fin. Good eating though.
    Do Harley dudes fish?

Most importantly, harleydoods do fish. Mostly for compliments from other harleydoods.

    "Cool ride there Mad Dog."

    "Yours too Mad Dog."

    "Cool Handle."

    "Yours too."

The bluefins off the pier weren't the big more pelagic fish. They were about the size of a big albacore. Maybe 30-40 lbs for a big one. The big blufins are some bigass fish.. One on my former customers was a Federal Agent working for NOAA who called himself a "fish cop" . He ran down the drill for me one day when the big Tokyo fish market gets wind of a big Bluefin catch. Things move fast and the bucks are huge..

This guy was a no mess around armed officer. Not too many of them as I remember..

Got a taste for fish on the Gulf side of Florida. For fish, the King Mackerel are king , the crab not as good as Dungeness and the gulf oysters are the best in the world. Thats my story too..;)

That was a very nice fish and an excellent kill. I love spear fishing, been doing it since I was a kid. I mostly shoot in deep water while scuba diving but occasionally when fishing in blue waters of the Gulf stream I'll jump in and shoot a dolphin and if your real lucky a Wahoo. Yum.

The shop where I work took in a late model Sportster on trade and actually let it stay in the per-owned bike inventory. It has been a long time since I rode a Harley so I thought "why not give it a try." I didn't even get that far. I threw my leg over and found that I was cramped in the saddle. The bike just felt all wrong like it was small and narrow but at the same time built out of pure lead. I didn't ride it since I hated the way it felt.
