    Friends,

You may have seen a post from vman38 regarding his recent accident. If you haven't read it, you can check it out here:

    http://vfrworld.com/forums/general-vfr-discussions/9465-rider-down-extreme-delay-posting.html

I just want to make sure everyone realizes the contribution that Vman has made to VFRworld over the years. If it wasn't for the exceptional efforts of Vman and Reg, this community wouldn't be where it is today. Both of these guys spend many hours every week keeping an eye on the site, answering questions, helping users, and leading discussions. There is no doubt in my mind that I couldn't do it without them.

With that being said, it sounds like Vinnie could use a little extra financial help to get him through the next couple of months. If you have anything at all to help out a friend and fellow VFR rider in need, I would be happy to help with the process. I included a Paypal link below, which will allow you to send a few extra dollars if you feel it appropriate. I'll make sure any donations get to V to help out with the medical and so forth.

I wouldn't normally ask for your help like this, but when I see someone who needs it, I try and step up. If you can help, I'm sure V would be grateful. Thanks for your consideration.

When vman is healed up, he can drive to Nebraska and pick up my 1992 Honda VFR 750F that I have in the classified section!! I would even sell it to him for $2750. I used to think I was invisible on a sportbike, until a grandma pulled out in front of me on my 919 and I ended up rolling across her trunk. It happened so fast that I could not believe it.

Sorry to hear about your accident, hope you recover quickly and get back on the bike, even though we are many miles away you have friends who feel your pain, get well soon.

I just want to thank everyone for their generosity in helping out Vman after his accident. I was able to collect over $300, which will help with his medical expenses, or at least a whole lot of booze to help him relax!

Thanks for being such a great community, and thanks again to Vman for being such a big part of making VFRworld successful!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for your support during my downtime. For those who donated $$, prayers, and wishes of speedy recovery, it is much appreciated. I return to work Monday the 20th, with the restriction of "sit down only" (yeah, like I am gonna sit down all day...my butt will get huge! lol). I am sure I will be allowed to move about, just whatever I am doing at whatever workstation I'll have to sit down.

Anyway, it will feel good to return to work and be "productive" once more. All of this has shown me that there are good people to still be found in the world. I have been blessed with being a part of this community and finding friends from across the country and world. Bless you all for your kindness and generosity.
