Ally, That depends, me I have 3 face shields for the Shoie I have and at 60 a pop.. well you get what I'm saying, it is what it is. I'd like the convenience of the change happening automatically my self. Reb, what are you finding on prices? if you can, there's a nice white one here in Oly Wa. Yea I know, a ways away, but bet a deal could be made, Just saying they still have the one I rode back in july 014, they had it last month at $9800, bet there's some wiggle in it. ;)

I found a 2014 Deluxe for $9560. With bags and my trade the difference is $5.5k or so. It's not bad. They're giving me a fair kelly blue book trade price on my F800GT. I would love white but honestly I can't see the bike when I'm focusing on the road so I don't care so much about the color lol.

Sure it ... 1400cc ... lots more HP and torque too though to help make up for it. They are very heavy and large. :)

Exactly the reason I chose the VFR800 - it leans more towards the 'sport' in sport touring. It makes it more versatile. I commute with mine daily up here i Canada. This past summer rode more than 30,000km on my VFRs.

Been to Chicago many times - last time was in September. My 7yo daughters passport went missing and United wouldn't let her on the plane. I sent my wife and two sons ahead on the plane, rented a car, drove to Grand Forks, ND and had my wife drive over the border and pick us up. :(

I was up in Michigan and Wisconsin in August as well touring on my bike.

Regarding Helmets, I'm wearing a HJC RPHA-ST ... love it with the internal sun visor. That said, try some different ones on first before buying. It's a very personal choice.

Make sure you post photos once you've gotten it!

I have a transitions lens on my Lazer helmet as does Duccmann. The freaking rock! One visor all day and night. They are very very convenient! I can't see myself buying a helmet without it.

That's a great deal honestly! But with shipping it'll end up the same as if I buy it in Wisconsin, unless they drop the price even lower. Also I'm not sure how'd I trade my current bike in.

I love my RF-1200 helmet and I've put the transitions faceshield on my Christmas list but with all the helmet prices dropping for the winter I may consider a Schuberth S2 or a C3 for the built in visor. My first helmet was an HJC with an internal visor. It was nice but it was a bit loud. I love my Shoei much more. :)

I love my RF-1200 too, I got a silver one to match the 2003, then traded it. They have one in red that looks close to the VFR, but will have to wait. I already have transition glasses, so the shield would be redundant. Hope you make your deal soon, have a nice Holiday.

Rebs, Did you check Nielsens in Lake Villa. I saw one there a few weeks ago. Didn't pay much attaention to the model and I remember it had what I thought was a nice low price even though I can't remember what it was.

Also I took my 2007 RWB around Lake Superior in September from Chicago solo. Absolutely flawless performance for over 1800 miles. Five days! The VFR is made for those types of trips.

I suppose one in the legal profession could claim a fiduciary relationship existed at least for a couple of days..;)

Democracy is a political ideal. Us US dudes have several ways of manifesting same. Dudes being of course, gender neutral. To wit:

A student group at Mount Holyoke College has decided to cancel its annual performance of The Vagina Monologues, saying the play excludes the experiences of transgender women who don’t have a vagina.

Penis for dessert? Not on my barbie.
