Welcome to the World Cygnus. Good on you for posting up the photo up front. Sometimes I name mine "Sonovabitch" But not often.

Belgium is on my bucket list of places to see before I leave this green earth. Think I have a few years left in me so just may accomplish that goal.

Canada is bigger than all of west Europe and has just about every landscape imaginable from frozen tundra, rain forests, mountains, desert and farm land so flat, it looks like pee on a plate with the foam blowed off. Where were you hoping to come to? We need productive people to immigrate here. We are a vast country of only 35 million people.

I always like British Columbia, Not far from the yukon territories that seem to me like the best place to go on a lonely adventure, it is not that far away from california and in the good side to reach silicon valley, you could say vancouver would have been the place to land.
And for the productivity side only the future will tell, i just started my business, hope stuff will work out nicely.

Northern BC, up near the Yukon, is pretty fooken cold in the winter. Vancouver's climate would be very close to what you get over there I would think. Maybe a little milder being right on the water. It's latitude is 49+ a bit. Move there and we could meet for a beer. Here, long distances don't mean a hell of a lot as it is relative to our way of life. Canadians measure travel in time rather than distance. So, Vancouver is about an hour and 15 from Chilliwack. I often will ride or drive out to Vancouver for coffee, beer or dinner.

BTW, Chilliwack is very Dutch so if you get a longing for your mother tongue, come on out. If your first language is French, about the closest French community is about 3 days drive to St Boniface, Manitoba...the flat lands.

Well, nice, good to know, it is a cold country anyway, and i have learned to enjoy the cold, which is paradoxal for i am not belgian, i am Algerian, born in the desert and grown in it ;)

And for the language, let's just say i'm an international guy, i adapt very fast and pickup accents quickly, i speak four languages right now, might be about time to pick a last one.

Speaking about distances, i might end up having a problem with that, i am a hyperactive, and get bored very fast, i hope you have some nice curves along the roads to cope with the monotony, but yeah, i'd definitely go for a drink ;)
