    Hi,

    I have a 1986 VFR750F, and have bought a Motad 4-2-1 exhaust system from a VFR 750 "1988/1989".

Will it fit my bike direct?, or has the newer engine another oilsump etc?

I think I would go here for a more definitive answer, as it's more biased for that side of the Atlantic.

We did not get the 88-89 (FJ,FK) here in the States.
I do know that the stock exhaust changed for 88-89, I think it went to a collector type exhaust similar to 1st Gen VFs.

Btw. What is the meaning of this "rAEVA Mi verker" ? I googled it, and only ref is squirrelman :) In norwegian it will mean "my ass is hurting".
Hopefully your ass is not hurting all the time :)

Yes it will fit....but only if you have the whole system, downpipes collector and silencer.
You will lose the use of the 86/87 centre stand, but you can fit the later stand from the 88/89 model.

The reason I stated whole system is... motad did a system for the 86/87 as well.
But because the 86/87 already had stainless down pipes they had no reason to make them.
The 88/89 bike oem down pipes and collector were made from mild steel. Theyre also a different design to the earlier bike, and no parts are compatible between the models.
Even the centre stands are different
Motad made a system for the 88/89 that was stainless throughout, but the parts could be mixed with the oem. So you could buy the silencer, the collector all separate.
I do believe there was a stainless collector that was 4-2-2 so youcould use the oem silencers
