Redwing's fix is a good thing.. One tip over in soft ground would justify that.

If it's attached you don't need to remember it, and you can't forget it :smokin:

Your idea is great, hope you don't mind me copying cause this bit of wood takes up too much space in the bag lol. I might wait till the side stand bolts come loose

Some dudes with those bigass hard bags and top cases use concrete pavers.

The day i picked mine up i was at a gas station in Las Vegas, i went to dismount from the bike, the kickstand folded forward and fell into my left leg, it wasn't a pretty sight and i managed to save it from falling all the way onto the floor by muscling it back up without looking stupid at a crowded gas station. The previous owner knew about it too because he mentioned it was parked in his driveway one day and fell over on its own, he thought it was just the wind or whatever, it turns out 1 of the 2 bolts fell out and was lost so it allowed the kick stand to swivel forward and fold in. I fixed at as soon as i got home, i had to use the center stand the rest of the pitstops home.

Thanks for this post. Exactly why forms like this were created.

I just picked up the M10 1.25 bolt (20mm and 30mm) to fix the exact same problem.

Did you use a hex head or the regular nut-head? Most available (on the shelves) are flange. My before and after photos included.
