Tori is the official fotograffer for this year's nozzleVision MotoGP foto contest. Nice try Reg, and great comments, but Tori's foto skills contained some thing I can't quite put my finger on that most of your images lacked....

Maybe one of the good photographer folks can help me understand why.

Nozzle, I appreciate your praise. Candid shots like these take years of practice, and intense concentration. Even with my years of practice, i still get the random accidental shot. You know the ones..... you forget the camera is still on... and accidentally hit the shutter button. These shots should illistrate better what im talking about.

 

What kind of beer was it?

 

I think what we can assume from the differing photographic styles is Tori is single(guessing) & has no one to explain to why his camera is full of candid shots:wink: (last time I attempted such a shot I forgot to turn the flash off @ in indoor stunt event, got a bunch of funny looks when the flash went off @ waist level)
Reg is married & would have to explain if the wife was to for some reason look through the photos( funny how they always seem to do what you least expect @ very inoppurtune moments, its easier just to play it safe) out:

 

Wish I could have rallied and got up there. I was recovering from a solid week of drinking with friends down in baja. Damn that worm!

well,.... my girl is pretty cool. and thats not to say that Reg's wife isn't, cause she is. But what i think it boils down to is priorities :rockon:

Here is a real quick video i shot of the corkscrew. First lap of the GP race.
(its kinda messed up cause i had to rotate the file, and convert it from a MOV. to WMV.) ....and man is the quality on Photobucket gone to crap !

thats wierd that you cant view it. Each time i converted, it lost some quality, but what Photobucket is showing is WOW, terrible.

 

Thanks Reg. I'm jealous of those who were able to be there in person and see all the flesh. I'm definately coming down next year. So those from the Pacific Northwest who might be interested in a ride down in 08 let me know and we can start the planning stages.

 

No No Reg that lat photo is right after the screw, turns 9 and 10. good job guys. Tori, fwiw that video is better than what fox sports showed. Know what you mean about losing some quality, thats why I went google for hosting video, they seem to be a bit better. IMO

 

Yea, I just might be able to do that next year, now that there won't be a wedding in the way.

 

Here's a good shot of thew Cork Screw, even if theres no bikes. Damn thats a set of corners.

 

Not to be nit-picky, but thats not really a good shot of the Cork-screw. Thats the last corner of it. --- Here's the other half....
