V4 Market (V4 Source) lack of communication

    After repeatedly trying to get a billing issue resolved and not even getting a response, I am posting here to get some advice or possibly help facilitate a response.

    Here's the back story. I was attempting to purchase a set of aluminum fuel tubes. I was using my phone and debit card and was able to get almost to the final stage of the transaction. Then I got a blank msg window and couldn't close it or navigate. Thinking i messed something up, I tried again. Same result. I was at my buddy's house trying to buy them for him without him knowing. I gave up and just figured i will do it at home later.

    When I got home I used the computer and payed thru Paypal. Worked perfectly and the tubes arrived a few days later directly to my friend's house. Cool. But when reviewing my bank account I have 2 seperate charges for $70 on my debit card and 1 charge thru Paypal for $70. Only 1 set of tubes came.

    I have tried contacting them twice thru the website while logged into my account and it reports my message has been successful. I also sent an email from my gmail account explaining what happened. No response.

    I don't know what to do next. I have always been happy with my previous transactions and the orders are filled promptly. But I'm not even getting a response to my inquiries.

    Very disappointing.

    Are there no humans you can call? Is the company in the US? If so, there is the small claims court if they won't cooperate.

    I would have used a credit card for such a transaction to be on the safe side......I don't know if you have the ability to contest such things with your bank account. That Foster Rad fiasco only got started when I had the credit card company reverse the charge ,after three months of no answer, and then they were quick to respond. Where are they located?

    That will be my next step, but I think since I used my debit my options are limited.

    What is especially baffling is that I obviously got far enough in the process that my card got charged, but only 1 set of tubes went out.

    How old a transaction is this? I'm asking as in another way around, as you have the product, but two transactions, right? maybe if this doesn't sound to shady, is go back through pay pal protection and get a refund that way. just saying I know that purchase was legit, but..

    I am sure it wasn't intentional, but a software glitch in their e-commerce site. If it is a small company, then they probably didn't have a very good web development company. They should have contact info on their web site. Word of mouth advertising is very important to businesses and a strong negative experience can prove costly, a lot more than the $140 they have. If their address is not on the site, then check on the box the parts came in. Hopefully your friend has a packing slip with the info.

    Very recent. Last week. Still would like to think that they are legit and will make this right.

    Credit card transactions have great latitude for the card holder. Debit cards are great but offer little or no such protections.

    Your bank may be able to help some in an informational manner but unless this outfit is solvent your pesos may be gone. When dealing with most banks of late, they are like insurance outfits and whatever happened was your fault. This is the opportune time to ask for the next person up the food chain. Have all you can printed out for proof..

    Not familiar with this supplier?? Who is it?..Maybe some of the folks here can find them.. Internet connections in some places are shit..

    I got an email response yesterday stating I placed 3 identical orders and 2 will be refunded. Will update when the credit happens, but I am satisfied so far. I think it is a very small company and just took a little too long for a response.

    If that does not materialize, a couple times in the past, I got great response from involving the BBB.

    Why not buy directly from the guy what makesem ??

    Correct as far as i know: david baldwin/2745 c. ave/ melrose IA/52569

    The deaL WOULD BE cheaper if you could get just the 2 fuel tubes and not the vent tubes, which almost NEVER need replacement.

    I am aware it is usually just the fuel tubes that are the problem. I was looking and found just his fuel tubes on eBay (515 229 7341 Dave), but they are $65.00. I figured for just an extra $5.00 I get the vent tubes with o-rings. I was just fine with that.

    How much are just the fuel tubes directly from Mr. Baldwin?

    Update: I have received 2 refunds from V4 Market. $70 back on my bank account and $70 back on Paypal.
