So, your first mistake was letting her think she was in charge of deciding "what is too old". 2nd mistake was in not telling her to Foxtrot Oscar when she voiced unappreciated opinion about age.
I have two 6th gen 07's. I actually bought the 2nd one for the wife as she liked riding two up on the first one so much. But she now prefers her NC700X.
Suggestion, buy mouthy wife her own bike.
BTW, I'm 62 and I also have to CBR1100XX's, and an ST-1300. I'll let you know when I'm too old for any of them.

The 86 has 40,000. I bought the 04 three weeks ago with 4200 miles on it. I put 1000 on it and taking it in for the harness recall this weekend. Took them 2 weeks to get the parts. After that is done I figure I will put around 4500 on it this summer plus I ride the dirtbike weekly.

No they are ok, must be the picture. I ordered a Corbin seat (4-5 week lead time) and I am getting the hard luggage.

I really don't see the point in trying to correlate age to the kind of motorcycle anyone rides. People have both accidental and "external" reasons pertaining to what they ride and other people just ride what they ride regardless of age. Age is just a number and mindset in too many cases to have a bearing on any conclusions drawn. I don't tell people my age for any reason because it seldom has any bearing on conclusions they are trying to draw from a number. And, it's none of their business most of the time.

64 and on second Y2K VFR in Yellow. Sold the first one a few years ago. Have since retired and moved back to Ohio to help care for elderly parents. That experience convinced me to get another Y2K yellow VFR. As I get older I may start riding faster and without a helmet......
