I didn't do this today, but it is the most recent thing I've done to my 99. My left side foot peg was sagging down, as I guess the part that the foot peg mounts to is bent. I drilled a small hole in the mount and then threaded a screw into it with a couple of stainless washers. This pushes on the arms on the footpeg, lifting it to level. Best part? Total cost? $0.00.

Well, after advertising my 93 for sale here and about 5 other websites, a person contacted me through Craigslist and bought it at my asking price.

Kinda disappointed that nobody even contacted me about a pristine 93 from here or any of my local boards. Just goes to show you.

Go for it. I was just making sure the beads were properly seated in the parking lot with over inflation. Had a tiny leak. Everything seated after that.

    I must be getting old.
The concept of mounting a used tire for a week's use is pretty much incomprehensible to me .

Youth. Um, I must forget that I probably did something similar years ago.....
    All that time and labor!

Putting the tire on took less than 5 minutes ... sawing the old tire off took a little while, but should have been much easier if I had a reciprocating saw on hand like I normally do. That tool is AMAZING.

That tire has about 30% of it's life left. I'm pulling wheelies and shizz all week and getting what I can out of it. LOLZ!!!!

For real though, the intent was to head to Colorado Springs / Pikes Peak while waiting for the new tires. The tire I took off was pretty cooked and I didn't want to risk the trip. In the end, I didn't need to change the tire since I'm not heading there now. DOH!

I got the stock air filter I ordered in the mail today. I ran out to the shop to install it. It was a simple job. I also got the two clutch/brake reservoir screws I orders and drilled out an offending screw. It's all good to go.

Here is what a mouse did to the old filter.

I just cleaned all the mouse shit out of mine, didn't get the filter bad enough to replace it though. I am going to put some mesh over the openings before the winter this time to keep them out. Did the pair / flapper valve and snorkel mod at the same time. Seems to run smoother and it defiantly sounds better. Changed the oil and put on my new tires. Really happy with them so far, installed the Battlax T30 EVO front and back as recommended by a few on this site. Wow, what a difference over the Michelins. It took a little bit to get used to turning with them though, it almost wants to fall over now when I lean where as before it seemed like it had to put a lot more effort into it. Haven't had a chance to try them in the rain yet but I'm not in a rush to either. Balance seems good, put 2 oz of beads in the rear and 1/4 oz in the front to start as recommended. Does a bike tire feel the same as a car tire when out of balance? if so, mine are good.

Nothing. I didn't even notice if it is still there when I backed out of the garage today. The dog was happy this morning so maybe he ate the wannabe burglar. ; )

Last couple of evenings, I have just ridden it!

Every time I sit in the saddle, I am reminded just how great this bike is.
A couple of hours ago, I did pick up a mount for a cell phone. Pretty geeked about that, but I'll have to get a power outlet wired in before I can use it much.

Bought another set from ebay for all of 30 shipped, looks like mine are not lock nuts. The left side was barely tight, and i just torqued things a few weeks ago. Swapped it to a lock nut as well and called it good.

I swear i painted the old bolts, but they fell off in one ride so fat lot of good that did hehe
