I will install an XP backoff module. I dont have the electrical drawings for my new 8th gen vfr. On my 6th gen the G/Y wire was the brake light power and the green the ground, ( if I remember right ?). Is this the same color code for the 8th gen ?

Can I use those two wires to connect the module and its ground ?

Thank you for help in this matter.

Yup. Power to rear brake light is usually green/ yellow and the green is the earth.

Thanks for the quick reply. Can I connect the ground of the module to the ground of the light, ( green wire) ?

Yes, if the green is ground. Additionally, you can also attach it to any solid ground on the bike. i.e frame etc. or run a wire to the ground of the battery.

Installed ! It really was a cinch .... finally I used a ground on one of the bolts of the bike. Works great , thanks for the help. It is the black module with the two white stips of double side tape at the rear of the the 'trunk' . 20160806_150139.jpg
