Man, I tell ya though, age is a mind set, that I'd like to believe I'm cool with where I'm at, but of late there's no getting around it, I'm feeling it. I just found out I have a torn rotator cuff tendon , surgery in Oct.. oh.... this getting old shit is for the birds. Ha Now I need to get as much riding in as possible, going to be a long winter with out the Viffer..

Work related, pulling a trencher out of the ditch. done this many times in fact on that day had done it 3 times prior, damn thing wouldn't cut a straight line, kept falling off SMH, heard a snap then the whole left shoulder, boob, shoulder blade, behind the ear and jaw all went numb and tingled. Now itfeels like i have a 10lb sak of potatoes on my shoulder. It moves but no strength. just a major bummer. yes I got the best I could get, he has two pro soccer players and one pro football guy out of Atlanta see him, I few aaa ball players too, so I'd like to believe he's got it together , comes highly recommended, Sort of good news is he says I'm fixable, thing is 9+ months, first 3 will be the real up high climb, I'll be lucky if I'll be able to wipe my ass. SMH. I'm right handed it's the right shoulder Oh Fun..

53 yrs old. Had a 2007 VFR but now only have a that I love.

I am happy there are some older guys then me in here! lol

Seems like when ever I go riding with others (meet ups or whatever), we are all pretty equal until the helmets come off and the gray hair gives me away!

Happy to see I am not too old to still be doing this.

Not to worry (yeah, right). Both of my shoulders have been destroyed. Surgery and PAINFUL physical therapy got me back to almost normal. Swimming will build them back up nicely besides the benefit to your legs where strength is needed for proper riding position. Seems like I don't know anyone that's done anything physical in their life hasn't blown up a shoulder....or two.

I'm 53 and have owned my '98 VFR for a lttle over 2 years. I've had 12 bikes in my life, not a lot, but this one I will keep. My current stable is the VFR and a 07 R1200S. They are pretty similar, but I could see me selling the BMW where as I couldn't imagine not having the VFR.

The first bike I bought was a '86 CB700sc. I really wanted the VFR, but couldnt afford it on a bartender's salary. Really wish I would have though. I loved the CB, but now having owned the VFR, I regret what I have been missing out on.

Just got my Daughtery fork cartridges and rear shock in last week. Can't wait to see how that improves my ride.

    Ride safe ya'll
