I like that the pipe rises higher than stock so you can see the wheel with the single swing arm. I loved the look of the older bikes (in the back with the pipes up and the wheel exposed). I also like the red color accent to the wheels. Did you do this to the wheels or have a shop do it? I wanted to do something like this or change the color altogether but money is an issue. I think that the gold is something that just does not stand out and looks like a mismatch for the bike. Maybe I would do a silver on the gold wheels to match the color of the frame? But like the red!

I agree, but for $949 I will stick with my soft bags. I know that when I bought my 1995 Kawasaki Gpz1100 they offer a similar side bag and was really expensive like these but much smaller on a larger bike. They where color matched so I kept checking and found that many people did not buy them and they where finally discounted to half the price in 1998. I went for it. I just like the look of a sport tourers having factory color matched bags. For the money I would go a couple hundred more for GIVI's right now.

"2014 Standard" got it Oct 2015
Coming from the FZ6 ( great all around bike, bulletproof ) the VFR is awesome. The build quality, the ride qualify & that V4 engine! I'm still amazed every time I come in from a ride how much fun I've had.
Not sure what number I am.

I like the looks of that pipe, but it looks like the mid pipe could be shorter. Do you think it could be trimmed down a couple of inches. I might be interested in that can if so.

    exhaust mod

i shortened pipe before the muffler about 1 1/2 inches image4 (1).jpg [H=CONFIG]3822ATTAC2[/ATTACH] image2 (2).jpg first picture is before 2nd is after. it centered the muffler up in relation to the rear wheel. if you compare front of muffler to the back of the centerstand you can see how much i cut off. you can also see where i blacked out lower faring pretty well

I thought that I replied to this. I did buy them and I got the 1.25inch risers and they are great. I would have even liked another .5 inches, but without alterations to the stems this would not be possible as I see it. The only thing that I will say is that none of the risers (Honda or other) have a pull back to the rider to them like other bikes I have owned. UP 1.25" and back 1.5" would be perfect for me.
