I installed my Leo's on Friday and man are they sweet!
However, I can't seem to get them lined up correctly.
One is to high and the other is to low.
Try to fiddle with them and the right side gets all F#@ked up on me.

Anyone with a set have any pointers.
I think the problem is the 3 inch connector pipe on the right side has a slight bend to it.

Who doesn't right, am I right?

    Any help would be great.

Can't say. I still don't know how I did it.
    But I will say this..
The left hand pipe is the constant. There is only way to set up the "S" pipe connector to it. You can rotate the can for the strait or angled look but where it connects to the "S" pipe will always be the same angle and height from the ground.
The trick is to twist the right hand connector pipe to achieve the same angle and height from the ground as the left hand side.

    Lessons learned:
    1. Though the bands used to hold the cans are pre-curved for a standard mounting of the cans I found that they ended up to close to the plastic underside in the center. By rotating the cans on an angle I have plenty of clearance and the bands cinched up fine on the cans. Not to mention, I think the angled cans look Hella Good!

    2. Appling a little grease to the 3" connector pipe will help with getting the correct angle and cut down on the swearing.

    3. Follow the directions. Start at the slip-on point and work your way to the end, connecting as you go. DON'T, Don't connect any springs until your done. Keeps things loose and adjustable.

    4. I didn't use the spacers provided for the hanger bolts. Couldn't figure out if they where supposed to go between the band and the plastic under tray or inside the seat area. I think using the spacers between the band and the under tray would result in the cans being wider spaced from center.

    5. The rivets provided with the aluminum logos don't work. Maybe it's my American made tools but I had to buy 1/8" rivets from Ace Hardware. Easy as pie to install the logos.

I hope I have served the collective well today.
We try my hand at posting pics sometime soon.

Oh, and by the way, they sound Bitchin!!!!!!!!!!!! (no spuds)
I'm going to have to go through the Harbor Tunnel very soon!

$720 plus s/h from Exoticsportbikes.com, had them in one week.

FYI, i ordered alum leovince cans from exoticsportbikes.com back on July 11th. They said "in stock" and that i'll have them in 10 days or less. I even called to verify. Well, a whole month went by with me sending bi-weekly emails and customer service chat sessions (they dont have a CS number to call), with them lying to me saying they will be "shipped out this week" on multiple occasions. I then told them to cancel the order because I was fed up. They tried to have me sign some kind of waiver saying there is a 20% cancellation fee. I called BS, told them to refund my money and cancel the order.

I placed the order direct with LeoVince. My new cans are arriving this Wed. The kicker is that Exoticsportbike decided to finally ship my cans (of the order i told them to cancel). I refused the UPS delivery today. I don't need two sets.

Pretty much a mess. Now I have to work it out with my credit card company.

Just a heads up on my dealings with that company. I'm happy you got yours so quick. But for others looking to do business, i'd be careful.

Thanks for the heads-up, since I will be in the market for some mufflers soon. Any feedback you could provide after installation would be great!

I ordered my aluminum LV SBK's from morepowerracing.com. Received them in 5 days at a great price.

What's the trck to removing the spuds? I haven't been able to enjoy the uninhibited sound I've read about.

I fitted a pair of leos 6 months ago, the spacers that are supplied, you remove the original rubber bushes and spacer and instal the new spacers in their place, dont think it makes much difference but they look aligned.

On the carbon cans you just remove the small screw on the rear bottom of the cans. Then you can pull the core out. I used small pliers as I didn't have the proper removal bit for the tamper resistant screws.

:frown: Sorry to hear about the troubles with ESB. Man that sucks. I also had troubles getting a tracking # from them. I was calling and e-mailing everyday and kept getting the same thing, you should receive an e-mail tomorrow. Well on the last day, 7/27 I had had it. I wanted them by Friday so I could install on Saturday. I was going to cancel my order if there wasn't an e-mail from them. I checked and there it was, a tracking number. I went on the UPS site, entered the # and HOLY SHIT, it was shipped out 4 days earlier and was on a local truck to be delivered today! By the time I got home from work it was there.

I had a similar experience with www.exoticsportbike as well ordered a set of CF micron for my '06 with a ZG dbl bbl. got the windscreen but no pipes. emailed em , no response, no CS # to call. finally they responded said they were shippped and would be delivered in a week never got em. more email yada yada yada... called their order number and told that person what had happened assured me they would look into it waited for their investigation after a month stil no pipes or info from EXotic. Calle my credit card company put item in dispute. credit card co issued a chargeback to Exotic. next day i received email from Exotic saying the pkg was lost and that they were out of CF Microns didn't know when they would get more in and would I like something else? sent me a form to sign as well I refused CC company had alreadt reversed charge $962.00. I would buy stuff from them again if they were giving it away.
they suck and they Lie So (*^(%$ 'em.

Seems I wasn't the only victim of ESB. From the sampling of online orders i've recently done, I find the motorcycle-accessory market in general is a tad shady. I expect to go online, see the item is in stock via a real-time Qty in-stock counter, order it, get a order confirmation email, next day get a tracking number and verification of CC charge, part arrives with normal shipping time of UPS/Fedex ground, etc.

For some reason, discount cycle accessory etailers tend not to follow this simple business model. They rather lie, and put static "in-stock" flags near every item. Then when you order it, they try to scramble and get it from their distributor. When there is a "supply chain problem", thats when the lies start.

For example, on the Contact Us page of ESB, they have a picture of a HUGE warehouse, along with a Fedex truck pulling out. You would think this is their amazing facility they use to keep all those items "in-stock"! I had asked them at one point if they can quote me for 3 day Fedex shipping. Their response was they only ship UPS ground. I guess the Fedex truck was BS like everything else!

Don't we have a page of shame around here?
Sounds like ESB should be on it!
I'll count myself lucky I got my pipes.
