They stopped production long ago, right? When?

Picked up one of these Honda 2016 Motorcycle / Scooter brochures at a dealership while I'm getting my first service done today and thoght it was interesting that they still have the Interceptor in it, see pics below. It does say in fine print "Prior model year shown." So now I'm wondering, when did they stop production on the 8th gen and how many did they make in total? I think mine is one of the first ones made (April 2014) but who's got the most recent production month? And does anyone have one earlier than April '14?

Are you saying they have stop production on the 8th gen? or just wondering? I have not heard this. My last visit to the dealership showed me 3 vfrs on the floor, yet I have no clue by just taking a peek from the other side of the room what year they are. Wondering now if Honda knew to just make so many at first to see how it goes, obviously they figured out they where over priced from the get go. So did that put a lot in the warehouses? Interesting.

Misinterpretation of the "previous year model shown" just means the pics are of last years model. Most manufacturers tend to change paint code if nothing else year on year.

I hope not but I've been under the ASSUMPTION that they stopped production long ago but I'm trying to get confirmation. On the Honda USA website ( http://powersports.honda.com/2015/interceptor.aspx ) you only have a choice of model year 2014 and 2015. This is why I thought it was odd to see the Interceptor in their official 2016 printed brochure. Honda's already introducing some 2017 models if you check their website (e.g., the 2017 Grom) so it would be natural to assume that the 8th gen is dead since there was no '16 AFAIK.

However, Honda has also been known to skip a year, for example they went from MY '15 straight to MY '17 on the Grom, and for my old PCX scooter they only had model years '11, '13, '15, but then '16 and '17 too. So they can be very strange with their model year designations.

Does anyone in North America, Europe, or Australia (am I missing anyone?) have a VFR/Interceptor with MY 2016 stamped on the side? Anyone? Bueller?

I went to a honda dealer the other day and asked them about the VFR and they told me that honda didn't produce one for 2016. I went to the honda website and it looks like he was right. http://powersports.honda.com/2015/interceptor.aspx

I believe mine says March, but I'm not sure. My serial number is 93 or something.

    Edit: 3/14 serial number 91.

I've been looking for the link forever now, but on the Facebook VFR page a member posted a link to all the Honda bikes available warehouses. A number of VFRs were listed for sale at discounted prices.
