Well if it be known, theres a new player in town and it's called FB for VFR owners. Talk about a lot of folks, even some from here, though most are europeans, but what a hoot. It won't take me from here, but man theres a lot of this and that going on. Now I read it's a closed group. wonder if SOW found it. https://www.facebook.com/groups/hondavfr800/

I belong to both sites today. Several years ago, it was, by far, the best VFR forum, IMO, with much more focused VFR interaction (no need to get defensive of this site). There were almost no members from "the other sides of the ocean". There was much more VFR related interaction and they were much more technically and performance savvy and there were many regional rides where I made many personal friends by riding with them. There were many members that were performance riding oriented because many lived in the Southeastern Smokys (there is little "cruising" there). Even their signature TMAC attendance is down but I attribute that to Obama's foked up economy where a lot of people got hurt financially and simply can't afford an expensive long weekend. Even today, annual motorcycle sales are down by almost half compared to the mid 2000's. Motorcycles are paid for with disposable income for the most part. I don't even see near as many on the roads in the best riding country in the country. Just wondering why that site is diminishing compared to the past. That's my 3 cents.

It's cyclical, people move on, get on different brands, and move to new digs. Just like kids who play with their Christmas toys for a month or two and then move on to the next new toy. Short Attention Span Theater.

That would be pretty amazing if we could do that for our forum CEO.

We benefit from this forum so much: from technical advice, shameless entertainment, and priceless friendships made.

An awesome VFR for the forum CEO would be worth pennies compared to the priceless value this site has given us.

Has the notion ever been seriously considered here?

    I just re-upped.

I don't mind contributing to this place when I can. Which has been every year.
That God for those disposable funds.

I am on both and they both have their merits. I post the same thread on both pages and technical threads get more hits on VFRD and anything goes threads get more hits on VFRW. I do love VFRD for the tech/modding/how to's etc, but they have taken a few big hits on glitches/updates etc and have lost a shit load of pics, which is really annoying, whereas VFRW has pics on even their oldest threads. I have been banned on VFRD for promoting a group buy with out admin approval which was pretty annoying, but it eventually was cleared up. On the other hand I was never banned on VFRW for the same group buy, but the group buy did not get anywhere near the same amount of hits on VFRW as it did on VFRD. Like others have said, VFRW is more jokes and anything goes, VFRD is more builds/modding/tech data going fast etc.

Notice that Der Stuka is flashing The Donald gang sign. That particular gesture had positive vibes carrying the spirits of good times and everthang gonna be awright. All this has changed because in Donaldese it now means up yours twice.
