damn looks like we have a winner here everyone he just won the "holy crap fucking retard award" no shit the 2002 and later vfrs do not have gear driven cams every ass monkey that know anything about vfrs knows that, what you obviously don't know is its a chain not a belt. if you don't even know that than you don't know what you are talking about on how the 5th gen is the greatest vfr ever created. you read a article once that said 5 gen good, and you ran with it.

I just looked up numbers, and sure enough, hindsight adds horsepower. My RC45 was 101hp stock and 112hp with mod and Two Brothers exhaust. It was not an HRC ECU, it was just a published wiring change that eliminated/reduced restrictions.

Just trying to practice rigorous honesty and preserve my rep around these parts. Cheers all.

Exactly, the mission is to remove the goverment imposed restrictions, return to the parameters of the original design basis and restore driving configuration element factors to max power, why do the boneheads have so much trouble understanding the basic concept? Well it's actually due to the racing propaganda that only affects a very slight percentage gain, geez

Thanx...that's fine and I let it down to shift, I've got a 0-160 mph in the works, the bike is there just a matter of getting it on the video, plus I'm not quite "done done" yet, but I don't think there's really much after 160 mph, but most I'm improving using getting it there without the Dyno dude, that comes when I'm done doing the deal, I might roll over for the Dyno Dude, maybe

You should never put this bike on a dyno. It may be running lean enough with the BW stainless exhaust and pipercross filter that it holes a piston before you get it tuned properly.

A secondary benefit of this is that if you never properly tune it and chart the actual output then you can always think that you unlocked the full factory potential and that it was actually in the 120's as you initially posited.

Then you can claim that the engine was sooooo powerful that it blew up instead of just melting its' pistons in a lean condition suicide.

I'ts just a diagnostic tool no different then an exhaust gas analyzer or a multi meter i don't see why you are suddenly so opposed to it.
if i cobbled together a cellphone charger from random bits would you just take my word for it that the output is 5V 2.1A and use it or would you expect me to verify my claims with empirical data ?

That's the kool-aid? No thanx this VFR is strictly with the factory specs less restrictions, it's totally never going to fail within the normal operating limits

I dont know about the VFR, but on a couple of other Honda forums, namely the 919, and 599, LDH says that the Honda filter flows more air than the engine can use. I stuck a K+N air filter in my re-jetted 599, and noticed no difference. So im not sure that i hi flow filter is hurting anything.

And wasnt there a guy on here, not long ago, that put a full exhaust on his G5, took it to a dyno, and the A/F was spot on, without a Power Commander?

I had a 919 years ago. Took the Power Commander off of it. Put the PC on my friend's 919. Did a bunch of roll ons. Dead heat every time.

if you don't need numbers why keep quoting hp numbers? why not simply say the bike feels smoother or seems faster instead.
