Now that it's cold maybe I should bite the bullet and go to DynoJet?

Speaking of numbers "one would think" (no pun intended) with so many 5th Gen VFR tuning experts in this forum, based upon my mods and adjustments and videos , each expert should be able to predict my DyniJet readings fo max whp and torque and if the ECU G and Second Snorkel airbox will add or lose power. My prediction is 112 whp with be max DynoJet reading with Euro ECU G and Second Snorkel.Any expert predicitions, please post your numbers

I would say 120 rwhp at least, everything else would be complete failure.

Since I've been tuning European cars and motorcycles for a few decades, not all ECU's are "flashable" that's also why you notice there are a variety of Power Commanders which in effect are able to connect as "piggy back" module and interface with the ECU. The newer CANBUS can be flashed or re-programmed, but the earlier ECU's cannot be re-flashed. So what happens with the earlier ECU's the PC3 module alters the fuel map signal into the ECU to produce more power by increasing the volume of the fuel delivery. Be able to re-flash has more control over the ECU parameters, that's why your VFR1200 is responding so much better. I really like the VFR1200 and study the evolutions of DCT, quite interesting. I'd say that the VFR1200 does have its place in the ideal situation but it's not as well rounded as a 5th Gen for the overall value and money. I put most my earnings into investment funds for the purpose of growing wealth, so I set dollar limits in order to control my monthly spending on motorcycling, that's why I think racing is a total waste of time and money but I do enjoy watching F1 am have been an avid fan. That's why I highly respect Honda technology. The new motorcycle are over-priced because if you can't afford to pay all cash for the newer bike, you really can't afford it, but I understand why people do it, I just don't think it's a very good idea, but as with everything your motorcycle and money management is "your business" I only mention it because the 5th Gen offers such an opportunity to have both an affordable hobby and an investment portfolio where others have debt, that why I added the dollar sign on the thread title Best Mod$ because in reality what you can and cannot afford is real and will affect the degree to which you enjoy your motorcycle and possibly how long you're able to keep it

Isn't the point of testing top speed to achieve something faster than stock?

Anyway, this amazing thread has inspired me to do some airbox mods of my own. There still a few practical details to work out, but here's my first attempt at "ram air" on my FP:

(Notice the "2nd gen" version in the background, ready to go...)

    Ciao,

Why do you guys cuss and get so mad?

Its just a thread on an internet forum. It may be old stuff to you, but there are new guys coming on board all the time.

Personally, ive been down the Power Commander Road on a 929, and a 919. No measurable difference; and i measured. Im very happy with how my old 01 VFR runs.

I appreciate and agree with the moderator 100% but I think the folks that drop in "off topic" to basically "smear" are exercising "personal entitlement rights" for whatever reasons, I'm fine with that but it's something I would never even think about doing on somebody's thread. I think it's better to read and ignore and only post comments if it's related to thread topic or relative subject matter, but I tend to be idealistic in both my thinking and behaviour. Anyway this is a legit thread and everybody is free to participate and contribute at whatever level of consciousness there choose, it really does not matter, it's really just fonts and pixels, meanwhile enjoy your VFR possible the best bike ever
