    Hi all,

Has anyone replaced any or all of the bearings in the sprocket carrier and stub axle assemblies?

Would just like any experiences with obtaining the bearings and any fitting issues to be aware of.

Mine have only done 17k miles but they have been in there since '99

    Cheers

If there is no play in the rear hub, they don't need replacing.
I've just done mine at 100000km because of play.
They do benefit from being dismantled and regreased

    Oz is right.

But that didn't stop me from ordering the Honda bearing removers and drivers recently. I should probably seek help...

    Ciao,

Yep, I greased all needle rollers when I pulled the swing arm to re-grease its bearings but it's more the sealed bearings that I'm interested in.

I replaced mine earlier this year. It wasn't very hard. @ 17k miles I doubt they need repalcing. Mine had 70k miles. If there is no play in the wheel I wouldn't touch them

200,000 km and mine have never been replaced. Maybe I should just because at this stage of the game. I do need to do the triple stay bearings though. With light steering while stopped, you can just feel the bearings set into the hollows caused over time.

Mine have 80,000 miles on the stock set-up out back, I have replacement OEM honda parts in the wings but according to difinitive sources in Canada, I dont have to worry. No free play which = to parts kicking around in my tool box drawer, (no-new-news there.) Like I care about spending money :loco:
