So far I've been able to hit 255km/h. Still a bit of space left on the tach, but I think it powered out.

That is 158 MPH to us in the Non-Metric world. You must be at sea level. 141 MPH is all mine will do at 6800 feet. I need more air!

With a nitrous oxide kit installed, bursts of 175 + mph should be possible.

I don't think the cop would say "fine", I think they would be well vexed and even cuss you up a bit.

Especially since many of us have different gearing, we should all be aware of the variance in our respective speedometers. Use your smart phone, or borrow one, and use an app like "Speed Box". Find the variance at a low speed such as 25 mph, then do the same at a couple of higher speeds such as 55 mph and 65 mph. You should then have enough information to extrapolate the variance when pushing the bike beyond the limits of sanity.

Then you can report to us SPEED (CORRECTED) such as 143 mph (corrected).

(I have nothing to post for bragging rights.)

Whats the highest that I have seen indicated? Back when I had a 1 down 3 up sprocket kit, I bumped the rev limiter at an indicated 184 mph. That should have been around 155 actual. With a 1 down only sprocket kit, I have indicated 178 before running out of room, which is again around 155. She had a little more speed left in her. I am sure under ideal conditions and the proper gearing, I could break 160 mph actual.

You're not going to get close to that on an eighth gen though, Honda neutered them in an attempt to pull out some more low end torque.

Gotta figure that at 6200 ft. That was downhill some from the altitude or maybe somebody moved the sign.

Once you have changed the gearing on the bike and then try to convert it back, you certainly have plenty of error. The speedometer error on our bikes are reading well over at 150mph. I know it reads off since I had the GPS on it. But dont recall I will find the exact at 100 and then get back. But they are over. I RAN a good 150 on the speedo, but dont mean I was doin 150 on my 5th gen.

5th gen is one of the best engines from what i hear. 11.08 1/4m

Purely academic for me, it's not the bike I am worried about, it is the road conditions and animals, plus the processing speed of my brain at 72.
