1st Gen vf400 Wheel/Fork question

Hi Guys

From the UK, new to the forum and very excited

Ive been able to acquire a vf400 from my grandfathers collection of classic hondas, to give it a bit of TLC and use for a while.

I have ridden a few bikes, but I'm worried about these brakes, they arent very good at all.

My grandfathers vf500 f2 has exposed disc brakes, so my question to you lovely people is............

Are the forks interchangeable between the vf400 and 500, I know they are basically the same bike, but a different frame caused concern.

Or are there any other wheel or fork swaps for the 400 that people know of?
