I thought I was going to be near the top but some of you guys have me beat. I'll be 56 in a month.

Started with a moped when I was 14, moved up to a couple of larger bikes, and then gave them up for many years. Got a Suzuki V-Strom 650 early last year and have 18,000 miles on that one. Got my VFR early this month so now I'm forced to decide which bike to ride each day. My car can stay parked forever as far as I'm concerned ;) I just drive it enough to keep the battery charged.

Well after August 21st I have to say I'm 38. It's a little hard since my mom passed away at 38. I've been riding ever since I can remember. Started out on a Briggs and Stratton powered mini-bike, then moved WAY up to a Honda CT70. 3 Yamaha DTs (a 60, 100 & 175) then to a Honda CB360T, Yamaha Exciter 250, Honda CX500, Moto Guzzi 850 Eld. x2, 82 Honda V45 Sabre, XR250L, 83 'Ceptor, 03 Honda Shodow ACE, 07 RWB 'Ceptor. I never met a bike I didn't like. Left a few bikes out (old age, can't remember anymore), I plan to be buried with at least 2 bikes. I'll bet there are some GREAT roads in heaven.

Good Morning Old One! I'll be 49 on Sept. 4th and I've been riding bikes since I was 11 or 12. Didn't buy one until I was 16. I have many friends older than I am who still ride. Never too old to ride... too old to crash maybe.

    50 last weekend here.....

Started riding after I got a car licence - at around 19....
then I bought the BSA A65 from a mate (I've still got it - and it went out for a spin today - see my pictures). To get the bike licence I had to learn on something smaller, hence a Yamaha RD200 (a frightening machine), then a CB250 and a 400/4 - which went all over, till it died of rust.

THen wife, 2 kids and living in London with no garage for 20 years, so no bike.
I got the VFR 2 years ago off Ebay - it has been to France 3 times this year and is ace. The BSA is a dry weekend bike only. I'm thinking of getting a Guzzi Griso..... but have to get clearance from "her indoors" for that....and I think a new bathroom will have to be fitted before that clearance is given!! The VFR will stay even if the Guzzi arrives.

Trouble is at 50 you want to take those corners a bit tighter and faster... but you just know how much it will hurt (pride, body and wallet) if you get it wrong.

Ah yes, Saturday morning cartoons!!! The Lone Ranger and Superman.
We watched the Vietnam war on the evening news, had a science teacher in high scoll tell us about the war and protesting it. I bought a POW bracelet in 1973 (still have it too). Having a neighbors wife lose her husband in Vietnam, MIA/KIA.
Watched John Glenn make the first (American) orbit in space as well as all the ohters then watched Neil Armstrong walk on the moon.
Had a large collection of Hot Wheels.
I first saw MTV while downing a few beers after work a local bar and asking "what the hell is that????!!".

    BTW my age is 52.

Started in 5th grade(10 years ) on a Taco 22 then a Honda 50---70---- my dads Trail 90 (that climbed freekin everything) my trusty SL100 Honda-------125 Elsinore (that killed my shin, still have scars from the kick starter). Then started renting my friends Kawi 900 Triple for $10 a week (with no helmet). My first street bike was a new 84 750 Interceptor ------ then a FZR1000 yami for 3 weeks till it got jacked. After a few years with out a ride landed a new Duc 900SS and sold it to by a ZZ4 engine for my 72 El Camino (biggest mistake I ever made) And now at 56 I am back on a Interceptor--and lovin every minute. Sorry it took so long to get to my age .

I'm 54. Riding for 15 years now. Absolutely love riding my VFR, and restoring a CB750. Always looking for folks in central Texas looking to get away for a day, a weekend, or a week.

OK I am gonna confess. I am mid 50 riding since 18.

When I was 20 I had a small accident and My Dad took keys and sold the bike on me for pennys. I was forbidden to own a bike.

My dad passed away few years ago(Bless his soul and miss him a lot) and I got the bug and got back on.

Always wanted a VF750F but could not afford and was forbidden to own a bike.

I am in the process of restoring 85 VF750F, PO had the damn carbs a part and gave it to me in pieces. Took me a long time to figure it out and assemble it. Ran it last night and thing purrs like a kitten.

I also own a BMW R1200ST. Wife thinks I am gonna sell one of the bike and little does she know. hahaha.

You will NEVER be to old to ride a bike.

I started when I was about 17 & I'm 49 now, big 50 next year & My Project Viffer is still a work in progress & off the road for another winters tinkering, but hey I enjoy it & sod the cost, I'll spend it while I can & not worry about it later when I can't :)
