I'm just about to go measure my fuel tank, I want to put on Stomp Grip (or some equivalent) pads and apparently the tanks from 98 and 2k are a bit different.

Anyone have Stomp Grip pads from a 2k model on their 98 tank? Any fitment issues?

    Thanks!

As far as I know they are the same, never heard any different. Where do they differ?

I can say that the 01 tank I have, the filler hole in the top has a restricter inside so that only an unleaded gas pump nozzle can fit inside. That's about the only difference I am aware of and who knows, maybe it's a CA vs. 49 state model difference. Shape and mounting points appear to be the same as far as I can tell.

    Thanks, guys!

As mentioned, I measured the tank after the shop gave me the dimensions of the 2k+ StompGrip pads, and I also looked at a bunch of pictures of 98 vs 2k tanks. As posted from you guys, if there are differences, they almost certainly aren't cosmetic, everything should fit just fine.

    Thanks again!

$5.00 bathtub non-skid-pads does just as well... cut to any shapes/sizes you want.
