Hey Guys Just found this forum off of google, about a week ago I bought a 2002 vfr for 5800 from a dealership with 1876 miles on it. I like it so much that I have had trouble getting off of it. Before this bike I had a gs500 suzuki, and if any of you were ever part of the gstwins forum hello to you. ill post some pictures when I have a chance but great bike
Ha! Welcome neighbor...you're just around the bend I bet. Did you get it at one of the big shops....like, Fun bike, House of motorcycles, or southbay?
Let me know if/when you are up for a ride sometime. I live down in the Clairemont/PB area. I normally (lately) ride Campo and the Cuyamaca's and Laguna's, with some bonus roads inbetween.
ill probably be up to it in the near future, do you go to thursday night bike night or things like that?
Bike night in escondido? No bike nights, just not into that really (maybe if it was a VFR gathering). Those are just squidville's from the ones I have been to in the past, and others I have seen. Like who has the most bling, look at my chrome rims, or watch my burnout. I just like to ride. I go east to get away from the beach cruising squids as well. Maybe we'll meet up sometime.
I dont live in escondido its just where i found a good deal on the bike, I live in Mira mesa thats where I heard of bike night. Never went with my ol gs500 tho
I work in Sorrento Valley just down the road from you. I usually ride to work most days. Bike nights are just not the same as car nights/shows to me. Most people that ride to the beach and back probably show up. Good luck if you go, and take some pics of the poseurs...

Welcome to a New World. Now that you have gone VFR you may never want anything other than a VFR. I just bought my third one in march replacing my 86 700 that I had for 11 years!
