    Well add me to the list of not thinking that exhaust mods, filters, and tune are gonna give you any significant power gains as well. Honda hasn't squeezed any more power out of these engines in 30 years for fucks sake. Even when they first went to the 800, the 750 the year before made damn near the same hp. Actuall I think it made exactly the same. So now all of the sudden bumping up displacement and cams and you're in the 140hp range.

    I guess Honda is intemtionally detuning the VFR so it wont make the 200hp that it would otherwise be making by now but they dont want to upset the balance of the bike bahaha

    Yes, and no. The rc45 had 749.2 cc's and the rc79 has 781cc's. Detuned, yes, essentially a different engine altogether, yes. Make any difference, no.
