I would have to build a 427 SC Cobra....the most beautiful body style ever created in automotive history as well as an animal on pavement. I may do that anyway at the rate my two businesses are growing. Time is the main issue right now but I'll soon be in a position to hire someone to replace myself.

I could carry a vfr in the sprinter that way I could just unload the vfr and ride a few miles.

Be sure and keep us posted and don't trust the TV ads that say cloning is perfectly safe.

I test rode lots of bikes (new and used) between selling my last 750 FT and buying my current one. Including later VFRs and the Triumph Sprints, Blackbirds, various Beemers - for a while thought about going down the GS route.

Only thing that really came close to buying was the Yam FJR 1300, which felt kind like a bigger VFR. But even then I spent another 9 months looking for a single owner 97 FT!!

I can't explain why I love this bike so much, but I do. I think it's the feeling that you know you are riding a machine - it feels very mechanical but slick (like a Mazda MX5/Miata gearshift). I love the whine and the intake noise, the burble on over run. It feels substantial without being over heavy.

Thing that stopped me from buying some of the bikes I tried were that they felt somehow remote, sort of blurred round the edges, and most of them should have felt much better as the are much more potent.

Two nights ago a van driver called across to me at lights "That is a mint VFR mate! Let's hear that pipe" I'm running a carbon Wileyco at the moment and it does sound great! He then asked "Are they as good as everybody says?" I just had to reply "It's fabulous!"

If I absolutely HAD to buy another bike - it'd be the FJR or a 1200GS

The phrasing of the question leaves lots of wiggle room. I took my VFR to a Ferrari dealer and they offered me 27 pesos as a trade in for a used Ferrari.
