    Hi Ligurt,

just replied to your PM, sorry for the delay :)

Do you have some pictures of all the good stuff you're telling about here? :eagerness:

Some highlights from the last months on my project:

Structured powdercoat.. Deep dark matte black:

Adapted the valve covers for using Coil On Plugs:

Horrible disaster struck, my engine cases took a dive on a concrete floor:

Might be salvageable, but will use these cases for a 2nd block now, I found a new set of cases, these are being prepped now.

Meanwhile prototyping some stuff on a 3D printer:

Found a brand new lock set (for an F2, one lock was different) and adapted all locks to use a single set of keys:

Did a lot more, and am now looking into feeding oil to the heads from the second oil pump, that is normally used for an oil cooler.
    Here's the full project log:
It's in Dutch, use google translate, feel free to contact me for any info and I'll translate and/or expand on whatever info you need

    That looks very promising!!
You'll be able to mount some nice fat brake disks, and suspension seems to be sorted too! This bike will be very hard to keep up with in the twisties, I expect.. Perfect for the Italian mountain roads!

That is where I live, take a look of the attached photo IMG_3658.jpg . Big brakes are not so important for me being the double 296mm I have more than sufficient, In addition my goal is to mantain the rotating mass the lower I can. I'll have a magtek wheel at the rear and I'll search for a hrc wheel at the front (though expansive).

Only slightly jealous about that picture

double 296 should indeed be enough for a 400. I was more thinking about fixed calipers and floating disks, for nice crisp braking feel

Yes indeed the road up to Colli di san fermo is a great experince even for rally cars. In addition from the top you enjoy a breathtaking view. I have an aggressive driving style so the floating discs are not so necessary for me, though very enjoyable. This is part of the view from the summit with the abandoned old ski equipment. I'll PM you if I ever get to that part of Europe, and if my VF is finished. We can share a beer then.
Judging by the amount of work you still have, I think we'll both have some more work to do :p

This summer I'll go to Grenoble (on a different bike) to attack some nice "cols" but who knows, maybe I'll end up in Italy later on...

Not so close to Grenoble, but if you come, you are welcome.
