I am thinking of selling my 1986 VFR 750. It has about 10,000 miles on it and runs well. It does have a prior salvage title and has aftermarket turn signals. I think everything else is original. We had the carbs completely rebuilt recently. It has been in the family for 30 years. Does anyone have any idea of value? I have no idea where to price it. Any responses would be helpful.

If it's red white and blue and in good shape I may be interested in it for body and tank

The usual answer applies: It depends.

Mostly condition, mechanical & cosmetic. The salvage title is a real bummer. I know it doesn't really matter in a practical sense on these old bikes but it does affect value. I've sold nice running, refurbished '86-87 VFRs for $1600 to $4000. So....it depends.

Thanks. Here are some photos. It runs really well. Took out of winter storage today, put battery in and it started right away. Only 10,700 miles. I'm going to list it at $2,000 and hope for the best.

As clean and low-mileage as that example is, my guess is that you could find a buyer at between $2200-$2400, and if i were selling, i'd hold out til i got that price.
