I am looking to put the Metzeler roadtec 01 (great reviews) on my 800f 2015.
Do I need to use the special tires for heavier bikes (marked as HWM)? Or the normal ones? The producer website does not specify it.

    No.
You don't have a heavy bike.

Nice looking tire. I'd try a set if it weren't for the premium price. Let us know how you like them.

I have some Roadtecs on my 5th gen right now. Love them to bits, super grippy and very stable, and look like they will be hard wearing too.

Used to use Metzelers on my Duc back in the day and haven't really heard mention of anyone using them on our bikes--- just might check them out when needed.
Terry how much for the set? ST tires?

Having Roadtec 01s fitted today replacing my current Michelin Road 4s, as ST tires go heard feel is a little more sporting biased ?

Using the Metzler for 6 month now. Great tires! Sporty with great grip. The bike feels much more agile.
