Hey guys, new here I've been riding a year and moving from a ninja 300 to a vfr800. Things to know about me 1. Live in Nj 2. Dropped 2 vfr800s (different bikes) in the same month. Not proud of that. 3. No drivers license, straight motorcycle license Yeah that's about it. Look forward to being here!
Welcome to The World! Look for the thread about how many times you dropped your bike and add your two,to the list.
Wow, you have a remarkable skill level and attitude towards safety. I think you should consider being a motorcycle riding instructor. If that doesn't interest you, you should contact member SOW. He is our most expert riding instructor, as well as the most knowledgeable member we know. Do it, you won't regret it.
You can get a permit without a car permit, then you have the option to just go for a straight motorcycle license. Almost nobody does it, most people get their endorsement, but idk, cars bore me. I rode my ninja 300 year round.
Welcome! Glad you are here! Please be careful in riding as a newish rider, but I won't tell you that you don't know what you are doing. I've dropped my moto twice although I was sitting on it at least. I also went from a 250 to a 600 to my current 800. I could have easily started on a 600 or went from the 250 to 800. Sounds like you have had enough miles on the 300 riding it year round to not be a complete newbie. But you are young (saw your profile age) and must feel invincible as I remember being that age, so I gather you have a lot to learn youngin'. ATGATT is just one aspect of safety since you don't know what safety is. I agree with Derstuka in contacting SOW. You will learn so much!! Teeheehee
Alright haha, altho I will say I don't care much for atgatt. Gloves boots and helmet are all I need. I did lowside my 300 in winter wearing full gear, ironically. Where do I find SOW?
