    Saw a brand new R1 at work and love the turn signals they also look like the same bolt pattern as my 6G
    Has anyone looked at doing this?

    Bring a metric ruler with you to work, the bolt holes for the 6 Gen are 40mm center to center. See if the owner will let you measure the bolt holes, if they match, you should be good to go.
