Hey all, I recently bought an 8th gen 2015, andI am thinking of getting rid of my stock can. I tried to do some searches here, but I am not finding much info. I am probably doing something wrong, because I am sure it is a topic that is discussed often.

I would like a little louder sound, but mostly I want to see that beautiful back wheel. Has anyone tried a Coffman shorty slip on? Seems very short to me, but certainly gets the can out of the way.

    Thanks, Blitz

It would be good to see a picture of this on a VFR. I know I chose the Delkevlic Stubby with posts. I have not seen this manufacture or it even mentioned. Mine still covers the wheel but not as bad as the OEM. I would like to see what it looks and sounds like as well as others if you pull the trigger on it. Their was a post on exhausts for the 2o14-15 on a slopping upward exhaust that exited at the top of the back seat like bikes of old but you cannot use luggage.

I have them on my Busa and absolutely love the look and sound. I will be getting them for the vfr. They are very good quality and do not discolor at all. I kept the baffles in and they sound perfect. Not super loud, but a deep rumble. I have only found 1 clip on youtube of them on a gen6.

Unless it has a CARB marking on it, it's not legal to run on 2014+

I mean, nobody really cares aside from very specific areas, but worth noting.

I thought it would have to have CARB cert also, but after reading the disclaimer, It sure reads like it is considered a First Replacement Part post cat. I would call Coffmans, or move away from that crazy state! Lol

I like it a lot, when I was looking at the colors I wondered what the red would look like. Thanks for the pic so it helped me make a choice of the stainless tip if I ever bought it. Having my pipe only a year spending another $200+ for aesthetics does not make sense for m, but for those with stock bikes looking I like this option. It would be nice to have a sound clip of this on a VFR to make a final decision for some.

I just got back from a 165 mile ride to Wyoming for lotto tickets and was chasing back and forth with a Porsche 911 turbo, noting that I loved the sound of my set up changing gears back and forth playing cat a mouse in the twistys of 1-80. (For those that remember my post of my last trip on the same route, "Yes I was in Full Gear this time and no water bottles" and kept it under 96mph. ;-))

I should have clarified - "first replacement part" for the purposes of persuading Coffman to sell to CA, not for exemption to CA vehicle code sections 27150/27200. Any time we modify our OEM exhaust, we run the risk of getting pulled over/cited...

I've been interested in the Coffman exhaust too. I love that you can really see the rear wheel with it. I found a guy on YouTube who revs it up a couple of times. I've asked him to post a riding video with it too.

That sounds horrible, just being honest. Nothing racey, or good about it. Just blubby with no good tone.

If you don't like it on your VFR you can use it as a spoon-straw for your slurpee :Bounce:

Hard to really hear what it sounds like in a vid. I absolutely love them on my Busa. Look great, and sound amazing. I will more than likely get these for the viffer and see how they sound. I mainly would like to uncover the single side swing arm. I really dont want to make the viffer noisy. I am happy with the oem sound for this ride.

That is the only exhaust for the 8th gen in the looks department.
You will either love or hate the crackling tones a "race" pipe produces but that is clearly the best looking exhaust for the 8th.

That does look nice. Do you know anymore about it? My search turned up nothing.

Yeah, what is that pipe? I wonder if it could be made to fit a fifth gen with a Delkevic header.
