I am shopping left-over, new 8th Gen VFR800's. Is there any difference between the 2014 and the 2015 model? Thanks.

Nope, same bike, but diff rebates from honda to dealer is all. Try Sun Enterprises in Denver. They had a bunch still. 2 months ago I got a '14 base at $5397 with zero fees! Good luck. Ask for Brian in sales. Tell him the guy that rode it back to Florida sent you...may get a refferal disc!
    Good luck,

If you decide to go for one get the DLX.

Web site shows 2014's and 2015's in red and in white but all are base (non-DLX) models. Kind of had my heart set on the DLX. But I will call and ask. Question: do you know how much was charged dealer fees (prep, freight, licensing, etc.)? Thanks.

I agree, if available. I'm not sad I got the standard and I don't really miss the DLX features (center stand aside.) ABS would be nice but I'll be fine without it. In fact, I'm kind of happy not to have extra stuff on the bike to worry about.
He said zero fees, that means zero fees. :)

True. Zero fees. Paid 5397 + 7% tax + about $75 for license and a temp tag. Period. When sitting down to sign I saw they charged a Colorado manditory 200 fee for finance somethingorother. I asked and they showed me where they added that and took it out to be compliant with the law. Great folks there.
They did have some dlx but were not discounting them as much. They were 7997. Good price, but not worth $2500 more! The 15s were about a grand more I believe due to Honda mfg discounts were diff on those.

Thanks again for the reply. I asked about the fees again, only because it is so rare to encounter, and especially with discounted bikes. You got an amazing deal. Congratulations. I am trying to work with a local dealer in VA, which would save me maybe $650-800 in shipping fees. I don't have a few days to ride the bike home, but it would be awesome.

How long ago did you buy? When you say 7% tax was that tax in your home state?

I bought her the first week of August. Yea, my local tax is 7. After the title paperwork made it into the system, I got a letter and went to my local dmv and bought a plate. That was like $75 if I recall correctly.
They told me to ship the bike to Orlando was only about $725. Might still be worth it. Or buy it and pick it up when u get the time.
    Good luck.

I called the dealer he said he only had 2015 models left for $8,600. I told him every Honda ware house in the USA had 2014 models he could buy. He said he could not sell anymore at the price he sold to you. Your sales guy was not there this week he was on vacation

Damn. Guess I had great timing. Brian is the sales mgr. Maybe wait till he is back and see if there is anything he can do. Otherwise, the only other dealer I found with zero fees was in West VA. Can't remember the name.

I am also buying a new 2014 Interceptor @ Umotors jn Fargo ND for $6299 otd like what was posted b4, with me paying for shipping , tax and regi in Cailf. They have a few more left and are very easy to work with +no "extra fees".

I called them also and talked to Matt. He was a very nice guy and yes his price was $6299 out the door for out of state buyers. Not a bad deal.

I was in getting the 12k km service yesterday, and they were still asking over 14k AU$. That was the sticker price, not what they're going to settle for but still. They seem to be selling better here than in the US though. For that money I reckon I could ship one all the way to Oz and be in front.

    Greetings to all,

Does anyone have a thought for what I should be able to buy a 2015 dlx for here in the Southeast? I will be shopping next week and wanted to know what those in the States think one could be had for? I do want the ABS model.

    Thanks in advance,

    Don

Lots of great new bike prices and I'm all about buying low. Just realize that bikes bought this cheap have no resale value to speak of. Heck if I know why VFR's don't sell better.
