I have a 1993 VFR that has been through a lot. I originally posted in 2008 when I bought this bike and it had been painted yellow by a PO.

I've just got it back from long storage and a strange 4 year struggle with a mechanic who is either an idiot, evil or a bit of both.

I was hit by a teenage driver about 6 years ago in a very low speed accident. She pulled out in front of me and I almost got stopped but lightly T boned her and laid the bike down on it's right side. Some fairing damage was all that happened but her insurance company totaled it, paid me an insane settlement and then I bought it back for $375 bucks and kept riding it. It does have a branded title now.

Fast forward to moving to Spokane in 2013. I wanted to take the bike on a trip and took it into a mechanic some friends recommended. I was new to town at the time and didn't know anyone. They did an oil change, rear wheel bearing a few other minor things. Oh, and tipped the bike over while in their care causing more damage. Winter was coming. We arrived at a solution. They would strip the bike down, repair all damage and get it prepped for paint. I thought, what the hell, given the settlement, it's a free bike to me and I'd always wanted to repaint it back to the factory pearl white.

To try and keep a long story short, this mechanic had the bike for a year, ended up going out of business but I did get the bike back, or most of it. The paint worked out, they re assembled it but it is missing some parts. One of their guys must have owned a VFR and stole my then fairly new Ricks Motorsports R/R, the headlight bulbs and probably the stator. I've got it running again, new R/R and new stator. But am still missing the headlight bulbs and some from the rear end.

What do I replace the headlight bulbs with??

If it were yours, with a new white paint job and no decals, what would you put on it as far as decals??

An old photo, I can't seem to add any new pics to my gallery.

Personally I'd leave it with no decals, just clean white all over. If they are a must, how about something like a ghost decal, where you can barely see it.

As for the bulbs, I bet they are the same models as automotive bulbs and can be picked up at your local O'Reilly's. Go with a good red colored LED bulb (reverse facing) for the tail. Not sure about the headlight, I'm thinking about trying an LED for the front, knowing that it's a different animal altogether in its construction, and usually not DOT approved or project light as well as halogen/HID.

You could easily put an HID light in it, I did it on my GSXR pretty easily and made a huge difference

VFR750F3, thanks for the links. That is exactly what my bike looks like now. I wish I could post a photo. I have a bunch of old ones in my gallery but it will not let me post anything new for some reason. I've tried reducing the images down, etc.
